If Dell does anything great, it's make monitors.....Picture quality is insane and no dead pixels.

I really wanted to love this monitor. 1440p, 144hz, g-sync... what's not to like? Well, I'm on the 3rd unit because the first two had dead pixels. (Revisions 4 & 5) My 3rd has no dead panels but has developed terrible uniformity with vastly lighter/darker areas in the panel. I wouldn't recommend this unless you see the exact unit running in-person first. For over $500 I expect more

This is the best monitor available for a reasonable price. If your video card supports it G-synch is fantastic.

Great monitor for 1440p gaming at 144 fps! I have owned the monitor for over 6 months with zero issues so far.

This monitor has given multiple people including myself issues directly out of the box with its self imposed "Deep Sleep Mode" that requires work arounds once connected via Display Port. Users who come across this issue are advised to hook the monitor up to vis HDMI to open it's menu and disable "Deep Sleep" This is a pretty terrible flaw considering the monitors work fine aside from this issue.

I picked up this monitor for the G-SYNC capability. I found G-SYNC to be a nice feature, though not life-altering as as others had described it. It was still worth the investment as long as the rest of the monitor's features were good. Unfortunately everything else about this particular monitor was very disappointing. The viewing angles were horrible, especially in dark areas where you could tell the contrast to the sides of the screen was shifted compared to head-on. This creates an effect where the sides appear to be brighter than the middle. This is exacerbated by the fact that the monitor has very poor black levels. At anything above minimum brightness, blacks and dark areas of the screen appeared gray, and to top it off the screen is unevenly lit, with my unit's left side appearing noticeably lighter when dark areas were onscreen. I tried all of the suggested adjustments from other reviews, and these did help with color and some other aspects, but there's not much you can do about the viewing angles and backlight bleed-through. Aside from G-SYNC and the size, everything about this monitor was inferior to my old Samsung monitor, so I returned the Dell and went back to the old one. Maybe one day an inexpensive G-SYNC monitor will appear that is not so compromised in other areas.

Even though this is a TN monitor it's still fantastic. Dell really is the top notch in quality monitors right now.
