Connection was very easy, and the drive works fine.

While I don't like that a lot of laptops have gotten rid of the CD feature, laptops are extremely light and thin nowadays. For it's use, this external CD drive is awesome! I use it to make mix CDs for my commute to work when I can't use data for spotify off my phone and to play old PC games on my laptop. I like how slim and portable it is and the cable isn't too long or chunky either.

I'm using this drive for occasional use on my computer because PCs usually don't have DVD drives anymore. My first use was to archive precious family videos to MP4 files. Twenty years ago, I copied some VCR family videos to DVDs. I downloaded the free version of VideoProc Converter AI and transcribed these DVD videos to MP4. I can share these with friends and family now on Google Drive. It can also play movie DVDs. I was glad that they included the correct USB cable. It's not a rugged device, but at the low price and for occasional use, this was a perfect choice for me.

Works as advertised. Recognized by Win10 immediately. No errors reading CDs and DVDs. Created several DVD+R discs error free. Can be quite noisey sitting flat on desktop so I put it on a piece of old mouse pad which all ed the issue plus raises it enough to make it easier to open and close and not slide around when doing so.

It's a DVD RW drive that just works. Nothing exiciting here. I tried to use it with my MacBook Air with a USB A to USB C converter, and the Air would not recognize the device. It turns out that the USB A to C converter was not allowing enough current to the DVD drive. I changed adapters and it worked just fine! Highly recommend!

I purchased the Dell Slim Disc Drive since my laptop does not have a built in disc drive and I can now access my genealogy research which is on discs.

I purchase this product to be able to download CD's to my laptop. The first one I bought was quite noisy - like an airplane taking off! I returned it and the 2nd one worked great!

It was easy to set up. The external drive works pretty well. I was able to play DVD's and burn them also. For the price it works just fine.

Used this only a few times but it is simple and straight forward, comes with a few essential programs for creating disc and editing content. The unit itself is very light giving it a cheap feel, but light is an obvious advantage if your traveling with it. Overall a decent product and I would buy again, the only real negative is that it doesn't have the ability to store the cable, some of the other units I saw the cable wrapped around the device to fold away.

My pc dvd drive went out an I thought about having it repaired. But I realized they make external dvd drives an I seen this one on sale. Bought it An it’s very nice. Small An compact. Can take it anywhere. Plug it in and it’s ready to go.
