It worked without drivers first shot, although I did install the included software. The tray feels a little flimsy, but it seems to be working just fine. The rest of the case seems solid. No Blue Rays have been run using this drive yet, I can’t help you there, sorry.

If you try to operate this drive with the included Cyberlink disc as the driver - it will not work! Had to pay another $40 in addition to the $40 drive price for a total of $80 to get up and running. Geek squad had to use the VLC media player to get it to work.
