This is exactly what I needed. Among other things, I can cast to my smart tv. I am able to watch shows through my computer and do office work. I like its speed. I would recommend it to any one.

I bought the DVD player because it is easier to use that the player in the tower computer. The player has performed very well.

In my view, it is a good additional accessory for all those laptops that are not able to play any cd. It is easy to use, just plug it into the laptop via USB and that's all. The times that I have used it, it worked perfectly fine.

I purchased a new Dell Inspiron laptop with Windows 10, and as most new laptops it didn’t include a DVD drive. I purchased this external USB drive, plugged it in to a USP port and voila, the computer recognizes the DVD drive. Then I inserted the included DVD and installed its software, which just happens to include DVD player software. Installation went smoothly. Long story short... The external drive was able to read and run the included software DVD, but was unable to play a new out-of-the-box DVD movie. I was able to watch the movie on a Sony DVD player connected to a Sony TV; so the problem wasn’t the media. Who to blame? Maybe Windows 10, maybe the DVD drive.

great product i was just about to buy a neww d drive when why and got this plug usb plug in and ran and downloaded what ineed to do very quickly and very chep $$$ recommended

Nice, slim, external DVD reader and writer. I use it with a new laptop for copying music from CDs to disc and for burning music CDs ... so far it has worked flawlessly.

This is a nice, compact, and economical addition to any system with only occasional requirements for DVD/CD usage. It is easy to transport if necessary. The installation was quick and effortless.

Have not used this product as of this date but will give me access to uploading more CDs to my desktop in the future

Bought this item as our new laptop doesn't have a DVD drive. It worked great. No software to install. Just plugged into computer ...very pleased.

Easy to use. Perfect for newer laptops that don't have a CD drive. This works great with my Alienware laptop, in fact it works well with every computer I have tried it on.

bought this to rip music and watch movies. Easy set. Plugin and it works. One cable comes with it. The length of the cable is 22 inches. Got it on sale for $10 off.

I was hesitant, was not sure I was buying the right DVD RW drive to run a turbo tax program. I also burned a back up disk on a blank DVD recordable disk.......good price and lightweight . Plug and play
