    I bought this because it doesn't have a drive built in and I wanted to play movies and listen to cd's and install other things like games or other things that you have to put disc in to download to laptop works perfect it has a disc to download to laptop for it to work works great no problems with it you can write to disc's as well put music on movies

    Admittedly, I have not used this product, but it's good to have since my Acer laptop does not have a slot for DVDs. It was handy recently when I wanted remove quite a few large videos which were consuming a lot of space on my old computer.

    I bought this to use with my Dell XPS laptop, for the primary purpose of nostalgically replaying old computer games. Compatible with even those early 2000 CD-ROMs, and plays them with no problem. Would absolutely recommend!

    This drive works but is very soft plastic and bends very easy and does not hold CD's well unless you make sure it is snapped in place
