    I bought this external Dell USB DVD/CD Player/Writer to attach to a new Dell Windows 10 laptop without an internal DVD/CD drive. It was easy to setup on the laptop being recognized automatically and installed by Windows 10. The external drive worked as in the product description. It operates quietly and efficiently. I am pleased with my purchase of this device.

    modern problems require modern solutions. I love this portable disc player. as we continue to move forward and phase out disc drives, these items become very handy.

    I plugged it in. It turned on. It initialized. It read my CD. I haven't tried anything else. I'm pleased with it.

    My new Dell all-in-one computer, like most, doesn't include a built-in optical drive. I can't live without an optical drive so I bought this dell portable optical drive. There isn't anything special about it, it does what I need it to do and it worked out of the box when I plugged it into the computer's usb port.
