Just what I needed. Convenient, easy to use, no problems.

My new laptop did not come with a DVD player. This Dell DVD drive plugs into a USB port and works very well. Seems to be very fast and sturdy.

Dell's optical drive was easy and quick to hook-up and use. Had it running in no time and loaded a couple of software programs on my system. Also, works great for DVD's.

It is sometimes surprising in today's technology when you can plug something in and it works as designed without problems the first time. Hopefully it works the same the 2nd time.

Works great with my MacBook Pro. I did go ahead and purchase a USB-C cable so I did not have to use an adapter cable.

Used this external drive to install software on new computer. Everything seemed to work great right out of the box with no glitches or problems. Plugged it in and it was ready to go.

Nowadays slim laptops do not come with CD or DVD writer but still, some software or peripherals has CD installation required. In that light getting this drive helped me a lot rather than sulking or whining.

Most PC's these days do not come standard with a CD/DVD drive. This is a life saver if you need to use one. It is relatively quiet, works well, and a good price.

This item was given as a Christmas gift to my son who uses two laptops. It was perfect for watching DVDs and movies on his laptop. Great gift for someone who likes to do that.

It uses one USB port, where my others required two USB port from PC. It is plug and play with Windows 10 and not slow at all. This is a quick fix for Surface user.
