Although I haven’t tried to burn any DVDs, this unit is an economical way to deal with playing DVDs in laptops with no internal drive.

Bought this along with my new Dell laptop just in case i needed it in the future for school... I have some cds in the car that I may as well transfer over to my computer now! Installation was quick and easy!

My last laptop didn't have a CD unit incorporated. This item is all you need. Works perfectly fine and so far I can't complaint about it.

Worked as expected,,,plug and play works on main computer. had to download a driver on my extra computer (easy)

I have really enjoyed making CD's for my radio in the car, I can listen to some reading files on long drives, like stories......very good product!

This player did just what we wanted-to play DVD's through our laptop. So far no problems.

I wish manufacturers would still include cd-dvd players with laptops, but they don’t. This product is the alternative, which does the job and comes with software.

I think my mother in law loves her new pc after her old one is so outdated the battery seems to stop working. The price is very affordable and the touch screen is a great addition.

It does exactly what I need and it reads disk decently fast. I really didn't expect much and the game loaded in about 13 minutes (Medal of Honor: Pacific Assault).

this products fits my needs. I bought it based on the pricing as well as brand name (Dell) and its reliability. External drive was kind of flimsy, but it works fine.

Needed an external hard drive for our mac mini. Nice option to download content from cds onto the computer.
