    A bit loud and depending on placement the leg cushions do not sufficiently reduce the noise

    I bought this for my nephew since the laptop did not have an internal DVD reader/writer. Works great. My only complaint is how short the USB cable is but aside from that, does what it is supposed to.

    Useful. But you need to insert the dvd it comes with on your hard drive first. Also, makes a whirring noise.

    Despite all the movement towards software downloads, I still found myself needing a DVD reader for my Dell laptop. The Dell DVD reader price was fair for something I won’t use much. It’s plug and play compatible with the Dell laptop. I just put my DVD software into the slot and it transferred the files quickly. A perfect solution.
