The small size is a plus since it doesn't take up much space. It worked fine but is a little noisy to be so small. LOL

A must have for loading older CD-Rom disc programs onto newer PC's that don't have a drive. I can continue to use my old MS Office, which was quite expensive back in the day, but still has all the features I need without upgrading.

While there are lower cost, off-brand products available, including one that lasted three years, I'm sure Dell is built to a higher quality and is a viable addition to any workstation. Accepts most DVDs, Blu-Rays, and CDs.

Since my computer doesn't have a built-in drive, I had to buy this exterior drive. It works very well, no skips or other problems. I'll see if it lasts in the long run.

Great external DVD player and writer. Just plug in and load software. Cord was supposed to come with it, but was missing. No big deal for me as I had an extra one to fit. I could play, install and burn dvd's to and from my computer. Overall pleased with player/writer as it accomplishes my needs.

Anyone can install this. Works great too. I would tell anyone this is the one to get.

No need to pay a premium for larger storage models of a desktop or laptop, which can add to the price of those machines dramatically. I bought this to house my Apple Photos library on a Mac Mini system. I load several hundred gigabytes of photos linked to iCloud and don't have to take up room in the flash storage of the Mac mini. This way, I also have full size files for easy editing and viewing, etc. I do this for my home and office systems and also my laptop, although because laptops are (usually) always being moved about and turned off and on, an external drive for photos can be an issue sometimes, in that the system seems to occasionally need to reindex the library. But for photos, this is a no brainer if you need more storage.
