The DVD/CD slim external disk drives takes up very little room and works as well as the larger interior drives. I am very happy with it.

The disk worked perfectly, and what a bargain! I was a bit upset to learn the computers were being made without CD players any more, but with this product, it makes up for it.

This drive is small, lightweight, and easy to use. If your computer doesn't have a build-in DVD drive (and whose does these days), but you occasionally need to use CD/DVD discs, this will probably work well for you - I've been very happy with it.

This was perfect for my needs to occasionally upload software or music CDs. It worked instantly with no need to load drivers or other software.

I needed an external dvd/cd drive to load software I own onto my Surface Pro 4. After reviewing the info on available drives, I chose this one as a reasonably priced option for what I needed. It is lightweight & feels somewhat flimsy. However, despite being a little noisy and apparently freezing during one of my first attempts, the drive settled down & did it's job. It doesn't feel like a high end product but then it doesn't have a high end cost either. All in all, it did what I needed it to do without too much coaxing. A safe bet for moving already owned software to new systems that don't have a dvd/cd drive built in.

This is just about the best deal I could find on an external optical drive, and I've always trusted Dell quality, and this one doesn't disappoint. Even though it's only USB 2.0, it's fast and quiet, and I'll expect years of service from it (but seldom will I use it).

Works great and as expected. Easy to set-up and use. Just plug and play. It is light and small so it doesn't take up space. It's, also, inexpensive, especially when on sale.

The Dell DW316 external USB DVD/CD drive is an excellent necessity for the current line of laptop computers that do not have a built in drive. It worked flawlessly as soon as it was plugged into a USB port. Without such a drive older CD based software cannot be installed on the newer laptop computers.

Just what I needed to add for some applications. Very compact. Easy to use. Some reviews complained of noise, but I didn’t experience that. The sound was very comparable to the drive on my old desktop, and I don’t find that loud.

The drive performs very well. Music is very clear, Easy setup also. Very clear directions and easy to connect to laptop

Plug and play..Real easy..Had to load Corel Draw into my laptop from a disk..No problems or issues..

I bought it to play dvds and load games to my laptop and it works perfectly.

I was very surprised with my new computer purchase that the CD drive is no longer included built into the monitor... Anyway, this purchase is an awesome addition and works great!
