I bought this external Dell USB DVD/CD Player/Writer to attach to a new Dell Windows 10 laptop without an internal DVD/CD drive. It was easy to setup on the laptop being recognized automatically and installed by Windows 10. The external drive worked as in the product description. It operates quietly and efficiently. I am pleased with my purchase of this device.

modern problems require modern solutions. I love this portable disc player. as we continue to move forward and phase out disc drives, these items become very handy.

Since computers do not have a disc drive anyone this is the best way to go .

My new Dell all-in-one computer, like most, doesn't include a built-in optical drive. I can't live without an optical drive so I bought this dell portable optical drive. There isn't anything special about it, it does what I need it to do and it worked out of the box when I plugged it into the computer's usb port.

For the longest time I had bought laptops with CD/DVD drives built in, and so with my new laptop getting this was something that took a little getting used to, but once I got it installed it was like a candy store. So don't be afraid to go for laptops that are CD/DVD-less folks! The separate drives are worth it.
