I bought this because my computer doesn't have a drive and I wanted something reliable, light weight, and cost effective. It has media software that comes in the package with it. It was Media Suite version 12. It gives you several options for tasks. I really wanted it for the sake of playing DVD's, but you can also listen to music, look at files, burn/rip music, etc. It wasn't difficult, at all, to navigate setting up. It looks good, too, if that matters.

Small DVD drive that does the job. Price was right and it does exactly what is expected of the drive.

This DELL RW Drive is a replacement for another inferior brand. I am VERY pleased with the DELL. It is easy to use, the latch to open the DVD tray works easily. When played the DVDs are than clearer than on the previous device. I highly recommend this product.

I was very surprised with my new computer purchase that the CD drive is no longer included built into the monitor... Anyway, this purchase is an awesome addition and works great!

Simple, straightforward, and works as advertised! The set up was simply to connect to USB port. It took one or two reboots before Windows 11 would fully recognize it, but after that, everything went smoothly.

Purchased in order to burn cd’s on a Dell laptop with Windows 11. Setup was easy and performance was excellent.

Worked as intended. Recognized by Windows 11 no problem. Was able to read a scratched dvd that two other internal drives couldn’t. Light and portable. Recommended. Also the included Cyberlink software was appreciated.

I bought this product because I have a Dell laptop computer that does not have a CD/DVD drive. The product is easy to use. You just plug it into your laptop computer and it is ready for use. I mainly wanted this product so I can download CDs into my iTunes library which I am able to do now with this product. Additionally, I am now able to watch DVDs on my laptop computer with this product. I high recommend this product!

The external USB DVD+RW/CD-RW worked flawlessly. My DVD drive on my laptop stopped working. I did not have time to get it repaired, before a deadline. I was able to complete the assignment on time.

A nicely assembled DVD drive, although a bit on the flimsy side. In that respect it's very similar to the ones that used to be built-in to laptops. I simply bought a protective case for inside my laptop backpack, and for the price, it can't be beat. Imho. It plays and burns music CD's, and it plays movie DVD's (I use different software than what came with the drive). Haven't burned a DVD yet, but there isn't any reason to suspect it won't do as well, given the aforementioned. Good price. Does a great job. Yes, I'd recommend it and buy it again if needed. Get a case!

I bought this DVD drive since I was getting into physical media and the old computer I used to burn CDs broke. And overall this drive is good. I use both Mac and Windows and the drive works fine with both. It can read and write, but the only downside I've found with it was that it's a bit loud and the plastic feels a little cheap. Overall an 8.5/10 drive.

I am enjoying my cd/dvd player. Once I updated my car, there was no cd player. I thoroughly enjoy hearing my favorite hits again as well as watching DVDs. Screen and volume are excellent!

The drive is sleek and compatible with my HP Pavilliion laptop. USB connection makes it easy to attach and the lightweightness makes it easy to transport. Good value for the money.

I bought this drive mainly to record my vast CD collection onto Apple Music/iTunes on my desktop & iphone. So far I have recorded over 185 albums without issue. The price I paid was very reasonable, also. I do recommend this product.
