Had it for more than a month now. So far so good with no issue. I use it for both my desktop and laptop. Easy to use, with the USB port you can easily plug or unplug.

Setup was very simple. And it works as expected. We tried it out by accessing old photos saved on a CD.

There are faster portable Optical Drives out there, but this one does the job as advertised. Picked it up at the same time I bought my new Dell Laptop that didn't come with an optical drive. Keep it around just in case I need to load some old software.

Nowadays laptops and 2-in-1s don’t have CD/DVD/BRD built in, so how do you use those disks? Never fear, Dell is here with this external drive and it works. Period.

I use this DVD to set up some of my print shop items on my computer. I also have watched a couple of movies and listened to some of my cd's

I often borrow DVDs from my library, and this little player is great for watching movies on my laptop. It is lightweight and has seen some abuse (oops, it fell to the floor...more than once!) but performs perfectly regardless. Very sturdy and reliable for my needs.

Bought a 13" Dell xps laptop and I need a external dvd, the first external DVD I bought from another online retailer didn't work. Save yourself time and money go to Best Buy.

Computer didn't come with built in DVD players. Used to actually burn CD's for competitions and shows for high school. Also plays DVD's and CD's without problems. Only downfall? Mine didn't come with any instructions, so good thing already knew how to use and connect to computer.

My new laptop is a solid state so had to buy this in order to connect to my printer. Wasn't sure I could do it but it connected the two. Glad I bought it!

This is a basic drive that will do it's job. To save weight and considering everything is going app-based and streaming, laptops don't really come with drives anymore. This drive will allow you to install your older programs without any problems.

Use this to both burn CD's and play them at home and at work. Yes there are still DVD's/CD's out in the world and not having the slot for them anymore is a pain.

I bought this drive since the laptop I purchased did not have a built-in drive. It connects to the laptop using a USB port and filled my need for a drive.

I purchased a Microsoft Surface a few months ago which I like very much. I have DVD handling needs and Surface has no drive. This drive fills the need perfectly.
