I bought it to add software to my desktop, as manufacturers just aren't building disk drives into desktops as standard issue anymore. It is light plastic; not sure it would survive a drop from distance. With the expectation of a basic drive it performs fairly well. Biggest "con" is that the cord that comes out of the box is extremely short.

Easy Solution For Modern PCs
