It would hiccup at the beginning of movies, it would read and read and freeze up sometimes when pulling up the main menu, but it would be fine during the movie. A couple of times though, the movie would stop for a few seconds while the drive woke up and started reading again. So it's not very proactive in making sure there's no stops in the movie. But again, this happened probably twice, maybe three times, during me owning it so far these last two weeks. Otherwise it worked fast and fine.
