    Pretty straight forward easy to use disc drive for the plethora of laptops these days that no longer have disc drive when you need one to read a disc or as a bonus on this one, need to burn something to a disc as well.

    This was a reasonably priced drive - I am one of those old school people that wishes computers came with a DVD/CD drive. So far it has worked well for ripping CDs, etc. Have not tried to do too much writing.

    Incredibly easy to use - just plug it in and it works (Windows 10 PC). It's nice and slim, CD ejects well. No problems. And it appears to be durable because it fell off a table recently while running with an audio CD, hit the floor, but continues working just fine.

    I am very happy with this drive. I had purchased another brand and it was more of a backup drive, had two usb cords and wasn't user friendly really didn't like it. Read allot of reviews and the ones for the Dell were good and mentioned it only had one usb cord which I like. Works great did my jobs without any problems.

    I needed a Extrenal CD that is easy to hook up and use. The Dell DW316 was perfect. Very easy to set up and get going. So far works very well!

    Computers don't come with disc drives any more sadly. For those with legacy physical media this is a must. Great grab on deal of the day.

    Bought this drive for a new xps and it works just as advertised. Made the ease and installation of programs quick and painless, disk burning speed not bad, price point not bad.

    I needed this for a show I had DVDs for and wanted to watch on my computer. It worked really well for that. But it’s not quite “plug and play” . There is some necessary set up that must be completed, and even my not so Tech Savvy self was able to get that done! It easily plugged into a USB port.
