Does the job exactly like it should. It is feather weight and probably wouldn't withstand something heavy falling on it, but like I said, it does the job and is very easy to use; plug-and-play.

It did what it was supposed to do. This review is more trouble than necessary.

Needed a disk drive for my Razer Blade 15, but didn't want to cheap out. However, there's a flimsiness to the thin disk tray that makes it feel fragile when changing discs. Gave me zero issues reading and writing DVD-R content. Overall good, lightweight, and practical portable drive.

Now laptops don’t have a built in DVD/CD player, with this my laptop is complete… easy to connect plug-n-play, small, fits in my laptop carrier… works like a charm!!!

New computers don't come with a DVD drive or VGA connections. I have the need for both but these products add to the cost. It did fill the need.

Long gone are the days when manufacturers put extra devices in laptops. There's no blame - most of the programs that are purchased are available online for download and installation. Every once in a great while, there's something that requires installation from DVD, and it appears that I have every object that requires computer control/interface that does not come with downloadable software. This works fine. It occasionally doesn't want to communicate with the computer, necessitating removal of the USB cable and reinsertion. It's loud, and it reminds me of an old 5 1/4 inch drive searching around for the software leprechaun. It seems a little slow, but that may be relative as we live in an era of SSD and internet connections that are in the hundreds of mbps. It's an OK drive. It does it's job, but there might be better ones out there.

easy to use, small, compact, does not clutter my desk

I got Dell Notebook on Black Friday deal. But it does not have internal DVDRW drive built in. So I search it and fortunately It was on sale as well at half price. Slim size and works great with my Dell Notebook PC. I highly recommend it.

I purchased this external dvd/cd for my desktop which did not have a slot or the cables for the internal dvd drive I had to return. I am happy with it. It works well very little noise and is fast.

Laptop did not have internal cd/dvd drive. BestBuy gave a great price for this external one. You only need a USB port to connect it to PC. It is very light and easy to manage. It works great. Just be careful loading the disc into the drive it can easily get stuck inside it.

We bought a HP Envy , it doses not have an INTERNAL CD Drive so we purchased this Dell drive an it is doing just fine ...

Dell rarely disappoints, and again they delivered a great product. Easy to use and flawless integration to other devices.

This device turns your tablet into a compact computer. I use this to watch dvds or download apps to my tablets. It hits the nail right on the head without the laptop bulk.

Basic external DVD drive. It gets the job done. Good price for those rare times when you need to read a disc on your computer.
