Computers don't come with disc drives any more sadly. For those with legacy physical media this is a must. Great grab on deal of the day.

The Dell external drive was very easy to use. Plug and play was perfect. The software it came with is specifically designed for Dell computers, but the drive was detected and drivers installed without any issue on to my Asus.

If your PC for some reason does not offer an optical drive, I highly recommend this USB Slim DVD Drive from Dell. It reads, it writes, it slices, it dices, okay maybe not the last two. Anyway, be sure to check it out at your local Best Buy and pick one up for your PC related needs.

I don't often need a disk drive when I use a laptop but everyone that I have had built I have had one put in it. However, since I'm retired I can just use an external one, when I have the need. This one has served me well. It's performance is excellent. I trust Dell products, they served me well while in the Marines and havw continued to serve me now. I expected no less.

I originally bought this DVD card reader to view my medical records, but it’s been great for playing DVDs too. It’s reliable, works as expected, and has been a great value overall. I definitely recommend it.

My last external DVD burner was huge, this is so much nicer. Wish it didn't have a tray and was slotted but that would likely require more power. Works fine off of one USB port.
