Its nicer that the internal one. Definitely recommend to anyone who needs a cdrom

Quick, Quiet and Light

No muss, no fuss, no nothing actually. Totally painless. The drive is powered through the USB connection, so only one cord to connect. Goes about it's job quietly and quickly, which is everything you could ask for in one of these. I haven''t tried burning a DVD yet, but for my use it is great.

The device worked very nicely as they enjoyed watching movies by using it. Small, light, easy to take along. A good buy for us.

Nice Slim External CD/DVD Drive
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Exchanged this portable CD/DVD drive for the LG - 8x External Double-Layer DVD±RW/CD-RW SuperMulti Blade Drive in silver to match my silver HP laptop. Like it so much better how the CD inserts inside the drive versus a tray to set the CD on and then close the tray. Very quick and easy to use. Have yet to burn a CD with it. Main use has been for loading programs and music into laptop.
