works, easy for techno idiots like me

Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.i just plugged it into usb port and laptop started playing cd right away. still working. no problems. haven't tried dvd or writing to it yet, though, just listening to music cd's so far. noticed new cars don't have cd player. hoping when i have to get new car, that this will plug into port and be just as immediately functional.

Solid Performer, Dell Quality
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I've used this external drive with a Latitude 3810 (W10 Pro), an Inspiron 5373 (W10 Home) and an Asus KMA200 (originally W8, upgraded to W10 Home). Plug and play, no performance issues. If you want to use it to watch a DVD movie, you'll need to get VLC or another media player. W10 no longer has an internal DVD player. VLC seems to be the industry norm, and it works will.
