Excellent device highly recommended in case needed.

I always missed the CD RW drive in new laptops. Even though use of CDs is reduced but it is still a "Nice to have" item for occasional use. I have 3 laptops at my home and none of them had a disk drive. Best buy had an amazing discount on this one when I purchased a laptop and was totally worth it.

Had to buy a new CD drive for my laptop since mine was broken. Went with this one since it's small, burns CDs, and at a good price of $20 at the time. It's straight to the point too. Just plug it in and go.The burner is fast, quiet, and highly recommended.

Most computers today don't have a DVD/CD drive attached so I had to purchase this. Very easy to set up. It includes a disk to aid in the installation, but you don't really need it since its automatic upon set up. Just plug, load and play. Also very quiet when reading discs.

Before I purchased this, I looked over the other offerings from Best Buy, and checked out a few reviews online. I needed a CD/DVD drive to go along with an ultrabook I recently purchased, and this fit my needs perfectly. I plugged it in, and it worked as expected. Simple and effective. Recommended!

I have used Dell’s external DVD player before and love them. They are inexpensive and a great accessory to a laptop. I have used this to download software as well as watch a dvd and couldn’t be happier. Finally, this is so light that it is easily packed when traveling.

I use it to load cd music onto my Ipod. It is very easy and it operates quickly.

This slim DVD - RW drive is very fast and works very good with my computer.

This served its purpose well. Since most laptop these days are without disc drives, this was perfect to be able to play movies for the kids during trips.

It's a great laptop. Super lightweight. However, I had a little trouble with one of the drivers not allowing me to connect to my home wifi. Had to YouTube how to fix.

My laptop CD/DVD drive gave up the ghost and I was not ready to buy a new laptop. So I got this external drive that can always be used even when I get another laptop. The unit works great and has read every disc I have fed it. It is cheap, reliable, and does not require external power.

If you have an ultrabook or other similar thin laptop without a CD/DVD drive, this is for you. The drive was picked up and worked right away. Even though it says Dell on it, it will work with any computer that supports external optical drives.
