DVD+/-RW Drive

I haven't used this yet. I will be purchasing a new laptop and have a few programs and files on CD/DVD. I don't want to limit myself and felt this was the best option to add so I can utilize my present resources and grow from there.

Great external cd/DVD drive

Unfortunately, it didn't have a cd/DVD drive so I purchased this one. It's a Dell so I expected quality and got it. If youvneed an external drive, I suggest this one.

I wish I had made this my first purchase. i attempted to go the least expensive route, and ordered a unit, I won't reveal the brand name via Amazon, and was so disappointed when my laptop was not able to recognize the drive. just a complete waste of time. I have a Dell laptop, and should have just stayed in the 'family'!

Not fancy but looks good and works well

If you get a newer laptop (no dvd drive) this is a nice option. Sooner or later you will need to access something and this will save your bacon.

Just enough for what I needed it to do

Not very sturdily built, but it plugged right in, my HP recognized it immediately, and I placed it square underneath the screen between the supports and it has worked well for months.

Does what it does very well

For when I get a newer or nused laptop. It works brilliantly. You have to install the software that comes with it in order to use the disc player. But that's all good.
