Probably could have gotten similar item for less, but this unit seems solid & reliable.

great dvd drive for a laptop

The Dell dvd drive worked like a charm, first time. Absolutely no issues, whisper quiet, exactly what I was looking for. Two thumbs way up!

Solid CD drive that does what it's supposed to

That is all that I've used it for so far but it has worked perfectly. No issues at all.

Pretty much, every is mostly digital. Still, I needed for something.

Easy to use

Needed to upload and install old software and this external cd drive works great for that. Have not burned any cd's yet so can't review on that. Much less expensive than buying all new software!
