Brought it home, took it out of the box, inserted usb into laptop, put a CD in and worked. It is small and compact. The cord comes with it. Very happy with purchase and price.

I was concerned when I figured out that most new laptops do not have DVD/CD drives. I have pictures and music still on CD's and DVD's. This device is a life saver and easy to install and use!

I bought this external DVD for my 11" laptop that doesn't have an integrated disc drive. I was surprised how easy was to install and start using. I definitely recommend this portable drive.

Old portable gave up and bought this one to replace. A little noisy as is plastic rather than meal exterior. Works fine so far. New computer has no drive and like to listen to books on cd.

Dell's optical drive was easy and quick to hook-up and use. Had it running in no time and loaded a couple of software programs on my system. Also, works great for DVD's.

Bought this for my son to use with his new college laptop, which didn't have an internal cd/DVD drive. Uses it to watch movies and listen to music cds. Very inexpensive and easy to use. So far works great for his needs.

It is sometimes surprising in today's technology when you can plug something in and it works as designed without problems the first time. Hopefully it works the same the 2nd time.

Most PC's these days do not come standard with a CD/DVD drive. This is a life saver if you need to use one. It is relatively quiet, works well, and a good price.

This drive works well, however, there were no instructions available to explain how to copy to a disc. The included software was very slow with respect to downloading. It was not intuitive as to its functions and there was insufficient Help with respect to how to use it.

This is nice and very important for me as I have 2 in 1 computer and didn't have CD Drive. So i'm using this by connecting to USB. I liked very much and good choice.

It uses one USB port, where my others required two USB port from PC. It is plug and play with Windows 10 and not slow at all. This is a quick fix for Surface user.

Needed to re-install software that I only had on DVD. Purchased this to install software on a Dell laptop. No issues. Was straight-forward - just plug and play.

Idea was to move those CDs I couldn’t find on Apple Music into iTunes using this external drive. It is easy to use and worked perfectly!

It is light weight and I can carry it in my laptop bag. The disc drawer hangs every time I open it and have to give it a nudge to open past it but does what I needed it to do. I simply plugged it in and used it.
