Purchased for a Gaming Computer which didn't have one. I into Flight Simulators and need to Add Computer Programs Ect. to my Computer. This DVD Write looks and works Great.

Having bought a new Dell 2 in 1 computer I needed a DVD drive to load programs onto my computer. Being in a slow internet zone downloading software is a very slow process and this made the task very easy.

Note: I've only used this to read CDs and DVDs. No writing at all. Its a functional drive when used on Windows for daily use. I haven't tested on MacOS. I haven't tried to run a Windows install from it. We have flash drives for that now. But if you have a stack of old burned CDs or DVDs that you need to transfer over to a hard drive or cloud storage, this'll do. It didn't get through some scratched discs so I had to get a scratch fixing tool. I'll update the review if a repaired disc doesn't work on this drive but does on a desktop drive.

Super easy to use and information on this DVD drive is on the DVD with easy to understand directions and options to use. Very happy with purchase!

Needed a cd/dvd drive to look through some old discs I had lying around and this worked without issues. Plugged it into the computer and it worked.

Needed a cd/dvd drive because something happened to the one on my desktop. THis is definitely cheaper and easier than repair and I can use in the future on other devices. Seems like this is just as fast and easy to use as if it was internal to the machine.
