    The laptop died in 2 weeks with minimal use

    I bought this laptop for my son. He used it a few times over the past 2 weeks and now the computer won't turn on!! I troubleshooted with Dell and the tech said that it could be a bad motherboard or other issue...bottom line is that it needs to be reapaired. As an option we could send it back to Dell for repair (since it's still under warranty) but that could take 2-3 weeks. Not sure what we will do but I will most likely return the computer and buy a different brand laptop. Very disappointed.

    Stopped working after 45 days. If it turns on, it’s great…but it simply died and there’s no revival

      To help with this issue, we recommend changing the Power Plan:

      1. On the notification area of the taskbar, right-click the Battery icon.
      2. On the options list, click Power Options.
      3. Select a power plan on the battery meter, such as Power Saver or Balanced. Windows 10 has a built-in 'Battery Saver' mode that can be activated to extend your system's battery life. The Battery Saver mode will monitor and limit background activity and other features such as push notifications. You do have the option to enable or disable this mode within settings or within advanced Battery Saver settings, you can customize the mode to best suit your needs.

      a) Click on the Action Center icon in the taskbar and select the tile for Battery Saver.
      b) If running Cortana then type Battery Saver into the search box and select from the results.
      Within the Battery Saver settings page, you will be able to turn on and off the feature and customize the feature to best meet your needs.
      c) Turn Battery Saver On or Off.
      d) Additional settings available via the Battery use and Battery saver settings links.
      e) Battery use shows further info on apps and their power usage.
      f) Battery Saver Settings screen allows you to customize further Battery Saver feature.

    Bestbuy let me down.

    Saw this on the website and saw it was available openbox at our local bestbuy. Went in the store and it rang up for more money than was listed. They would not honor what it was listed for on the website. Crazy and horrible experience.

    Very poor quality, both the hinge for closing and the power source deteriorated to the point the laptop was inoperable after 5 months just from normal wear and tear. Awful quality, will never buy a Dell again.

    Stopped working the same week we bought it, and we had to bring it to Geek Squad. We lost so much time because Dell wanted to try and fix it. It could not be fixed so we went with MSI.

    Probs would have been great if it didn't completely brick the computer within hours of purchase during windows updates. Couldn't roll back, repair, reset, anything. Returned.

    When I received the item, the power plug would not connect. Now I have received a new power plug and the computer does not work. Never another Dell.

    I received an incomplete item. There was no charger or AC Power cord included on the item. Customer Service took time to resolve my issue.

    Solid laptop, poor battery life

    Very powerful pc! Tested the gaming capacity by playing skyrim vr and it was able to load and play it. Sounded like a room fan on medium but GPU stayed around 64 C. It's amazing how far gaming laptops have come in the past 7 years since I bought my last one. Pros: Fast as you can believe, Very crystal clear display, loads multiple windows and programs very efficiently, can handle the coding applications with ease. Cons: As others have mentioned battery life is a major con, I use this mainly as my University laptop and I only managed to get about two hours of running linux through a virtual machine. Occasionally there will be memory spikes when using google chrome, which typically runs about 400 mb of ram on average, which causes the fan to rev up out of nowhere. All in all, I am happy to have bought this machine! If you arent looking for a laptop that will last 6 hours on one battery charge this is the way to go as the hardware is immaculate!

    We purchased this computer for my son as a Christmas present. A couple days after Christmas it stopped working. Tech Support tried to help but we’re unable. They sent out a technician but he wasn’t able to fix it so we sent it back to Dell where they had to replaced the mother board. When we got it back it worked for a few more days but again it stopped working. Fed up we decided we had a lemon and tried returning it but was told that Dell needed to provide an authorization code first. When I called Dell they just wanted to try to fix it. We got it to turn on some how and we spent a considerable amount of time updating drivers. It worked for the week but today my son woke up and tried to turn it on again and it wouldn’t turn on. After another call to Dell this morning, a hard reset and another hour or so updating drivers and software it is running again. All I want to do is return this computer and get something else. I don’t have time to waste on this and it frustrates me that I have had a computer that has more closely resembled a paper weight for the majority of the time that I have owned it. If you do decide to buy this I would not recommend getting the low end model. There isn’t enough RAM or processor speed. Calling it a gaming computer is deceptive unless you are savvy enough to know what is actually required. I highly recommend that you shut this computer down each night and properly reboot it each time you use it. My son was just closing the computer which I believe has been the reason for the driver and software update problems.

    I bought the last version of this computer. After 5 years of use, the games started crashing, the keyboard's top row stopped working, the letter J stopped working, and the computer became a drain of money to fix since selling it was impossible since no one would pay a dime for it. My ASUS laptop lasted 10 years and I recycled it still working. In my opinion, Dell computers are not worth your money and I have no intention to ever buy another.
