Heavy but solid computer would probably prefer a desktop

Amazing laptop with and amazing cooling system, ideal for hot weather. Graphics are amazing, laptop speed is great! Love the software enviroment and the laptop image is really great. Physically it looks like a classic dell computer transformed in a back to the future machine. Totally Love it!

Great computer for the price, needs ram to be upgraded as the ryzen chips love ram and will make an intel computer look like a waste of money. Got it for my son and he’s in love with it. From what he tells me the fpm on high resolution setting are great no lag or choppy gameplay.

I got this for my teen daughter for school and fun. She does more basic gaming such as SIMS and it has way more capability than needed. We have tried it out on online gaming and the refresh rate and lag were above expectations. Hopefully it holds up over time.

I bought this laptop for my son as an entry-level gaming PC. It suited his needs just fine...at first. But six months later, the battery stopped charging, and we got repeated error messages saying things like, "the AC power adapter wattage and type cannot be determined." The computer worked, as long as it was plugged in, but the errors were frequent and annoying. We were using the original power cord that came in the box. I googled and googled. These kinds of problems are apparently not uncommon with Dell laptops like this model, so there were lots of suggestions out there, and I tried them all. Buying a new power cord from Dell. Updating drivers. Swapping out the battery. And as a last resort, flashing the BIOS. None of it helped. At this point, with nothing else left to try, I can only assume it's a hardware problem with the power jack. Something going wrong in that physical structure where you put the adapter into the computer. This laptop was not used often (my son likes PC games but more frequently uses his console) and again, only for 6 months. It only ever went from the kitchen table, when my son was using it, to the shelf for storage when he was not. We never once took it anywhere out of the house (I mean, the battery wouldn't charge, so it wasn't exactly portable...but even if it had charged, my kid doesn't have many places to take his computer.) It's absurd that a modern laptop from a legit manufacturer couldn't hold up to this kind of light use! And it's a shame, too, because otherwise it was a great laptop for my son's needs at a solid price. Which is why it gets 2 stars instead of just 1. I have no complaints at all about the performance of this machine before we started getting the error messages and the battery stopped charging. But I'll never buy a machine with this kind of power adapter again.

Okay laptop! Tried playing some of the games I normally play the screen is so bad it almost left the games unplayable. Battery life terrible.

No regrets on the purchase, needed more RAM and SSD space. Recommend that you prepare for the RAM at minimum, and work with a External HDD from the rear USB slot - if you don’t want to shell for 2TB SSD.

Bought to keep my son off of other laptops to play his PC games. This is a great, sturdy computer at a great price. He is very happy with the graphic resolution and solid construction.

Finally caved in and got my son his gaming pc...figured having a laptop would be more versatile when traveling. Its a Xmas gift and proce was perfect. Being a Dell, i hope it stands up to its reputation

This computer seems to be exactly what my son needed! He likes to play some online games and he will certainly need this laptop when he goes off to college. Really pleased with our purchase so far!

I bought it to handle multiple streaming functions simultaneously, and thus far it has performed admirably. It was a little extra spend, but it’s an excellent laptop for the money.

The absolute speed of this laptop is awesome, I had a MacBook but couldn’t stand the amount of restrictions and this not only exceeds that but is also great for speed and picture quality.

This laptop does not disappoint! I picked this up on a Black Friday special and it's incredible. The only issue I have is the eight gigs of RAM but I got that fixed on Black Friday special too.

This is a great computer, very versatile, powerfull and light, considerng its capablilities. It can. E used for a variety of tasks, from gaming to zoom conferences. I highly recommend it.
