Went from a tv to this monitor. Best decision I’ve made

I like this monitor for quite a few reasons. To keep it short, it’s built well, looks good, has some nice connectivity, and performs very well. The build is solid, about what you would expect from Dell. Overall quality. You get a fair amount of freedom with adjustments, with height, pivot, swivel, and tilt. There is a pretty nice selection of ports, with HDMI, 2 Display Port, and 2 USB 5Gbps (USB 3.2 Gen 1) ports. I think just about everyone will be covered. As for the design/styling, it is pretty basic. Muted, plain, black, simple. Honestly, all of that is kind of perfect for me. Some may want more of a gaming aesthetic, which I get, but I think I can say it simply looks “good” as is. When it comes to the display itself, it’s fantastic. Colors are full, accurate, and detailed. As a whole the picture quality is great. Vivid, great contrast and brightness, with some nice blacks. Sure, it is not 4K, but it looks great with the resolution it has. Performance-wise, it really shines. With the very high refresh rate and very fast response times, it does very well with games generally, but even with fast moving games. I really didn’t see any tearing or flicker, and if there was lag I didn’t really see it. Everything was just smooth. Of course, some of this is system dependent, but it just ran well for me. There are also quite a few gaming specific tools and ad-ons that I found to be mostly helpful and or fun. Dark Stabilizer, Console Mode, Frame Rate Counter, Timer, Night Vision, Clear Vision, Chroma Vision, and “Always Visible” Crosshair. I would say be sure to take a look and see if you like them. I think quite a few are nice adds. Beyond all of the gaming, simple video also looks good, and it does great in day-to-day usage. So, you shouldn’t have any reservations about this as a solid everyday monitor. If I have one dig with this monitor, it is that there are no speakers. Yes, most monitor speakers are not very good, and for most gaming you are going to want a headset, but, even at this price point, I just really wish there were some speakers. The display is great, I would just like to be able to watch some YouTube without a headset or without having to grab some external speakers. Maybe this is a personal thing, but just something to note. Ultimately, though, I really do like this monitor. I like the looks, it comes spec’d well, and it does everything I want/need it to do (just give me some speakers), and it does it all very well. I am pretty impressed. I think for where this monitor sits in the market, and for what it delivers, the value is absolutely there.

This monitor offers very crisp colorization and has the perfect brightness range. As someone who plays games, animates, and illustrates I can say with 100% confidence that this monitor makes everything extremely clear and high quality.

Great monitor but I wish I could use a aux cord with it

Dont buy online or open box! Purchased this Dell open-box and was sent an HP. Best Buy Refused to exchange it only issued a refund since they claimed it was open-box, but this directly contradicts their policy on returns or exchanges. Also since i purchased the Dell monitor during a sale for $160 and that sale has ended I paid full price $260 to get the product i originally ordered. Since i purchased online and open-box manager would not price adjust for the previous sale so i just spent the $$. The monitor is ok with good picture quality, but the experience I went through to actually get it has soured it. Will be returning it soon and finding a Tech store that values me as a customer.

Was really pleased with the product that I purchased. Customer service was amazing. The lady was really nice that helped me just great visit at the store, perfect.

I’m sure I just got a bad unit out of many, but I have to mention that my monitor smelled really bad like something was burning. It originated from the top right side of the vents and you can definitely smell it even from far. It was potentially dangerous, so I returned it. If you get this monitor I recommend it being the first thing you check.

280 feels like overkill but for sure isn’t, this is a great inexpensive display and works wonders for the price

I am sure that this is a perfectly good monitor, however it is not was I wanted. I told the guy at the store what I needed and he suggested this one, so I bought it. It took a couple days before I opened the box and attempted using it. The connections did not support a PC computer as I was told it did. I reboxed it up and wanted to return it, but it only had a 15 day return. So now I am screwed, I have a probably really good monitor that I cannot us. So am I pleased? You be the judge.
