This is my first AMD gaming computer. The Dell G5 15” Gaming Laptop incorporates the Next Gen AMD Ryzen 7 4800H Mobile Processor with integrated Radeon Graphics plus AMD GPU Radeon RX 5600M graphics. This makes for a very good system of integrated components designed to work perfectly with each other. Game play is sprightly, handling intense graphic scene rendering with ease. The overall combination of components is well balanced. The physical weight of the computer is on a par with other medium level game machines. This laptop has a variety of ports and a reasonable amount of RAM and SSD space. The RAM is adequate for games, but I would like more RAM for 4K or higher video editing along with more SSD. It provides good battery play time and is of moderate weight in a reasonably rugged shell. The 144hz refresh rate is nice but NITS could be higher. I wish it could do full 3D real time raytracing. I would have liked a solid color case like black instead of gray, but that has nothing to do with game play. – great playable machine!

Great gaming laptop. Fan noise can get loud but it keeps the laptop cool. Can run games very easily.

I bought this laptop on Thursday. It overheats even with plenty of airflow between the computer and what it's sitting on. The battery life is terrible. Two hours being unplugged and it almost dies. I'm calling to see if I can get a refund. This laptop is not worth the money it costs.

My 8 year old love it! Had another Dell that was a lemon and exchanged it for the G5S that works like a charm.

The performance is good for the price and the AMD combo works pretty good. I'm but still it gets to 95° c when you're gaming with full CPU and CPU performance with this kind of high for a normal laptop. I returned it but if the temperature isn't I issue for you this is a pretty good laptop.

Lets just say I like this laptop and not love it. First off, the design is a little lack luster with the plastic design but if you are just for the innards then that is fine. For all the basics such as office, spreadsheets, video streaming, and web browsing, it works just as good as any laptop would be expected. It runs quiet and cool for basic operations. The screen is a decent size and clear for viewing. For gaming it is just a tad above average. I like the processing speed for graphics which is displayed smoothly although there were a few lag hiccups on a few games. I played on both cpu and gpu settings to see if there were any differences. I am assuming the lag was from not switching the Gforce on. The laptop did heat up significantly when in intensive gaming, The fan was pretty loud when playing but did dissipate a bit of heat. I am not a fan of the speakers at all. There is a lack of full sound and they point downwards a bit from the keyboard. A headset or external speakers are definitely needed to enjoy fully. The keyboard is probably my favorite of this laptop. The keys are soft and responsive along with the trackpad, No complaints there. With the addition of the Alienware Command center settings is where this laptop is set apart. You are able to tweak settings for various software and cooling settings and most noticeable the color settings of the RGB keyboard. You can make the keyboard light up interactively with game play which is interesting or just change the colors to suit your desires. The battery life is short when not plugged in and heavy use is involved but that is not a major concern for me as I usually leave it plugged in when streaming or playing. It is not the most compact laptop for on the go although it is capable of such. All in all, for my needs and wants this laptop gets the job done especially with working from home and the occasional reprieve game/streaming break.

The first one we purchased would not turn on. Had to go back to the store and exchange for a new one. No problems with the new one.

Bought it twice. Didnt work twice. unlucky. Blue screens every time you play games.

This laptop performs as advertised and, so far, I am able to play the games I have downloaded without any problems.

Great computer, had nice specs also was excellent in durability and just overall performance

Love this. Was very easy to set up and our daughter is thrilled with the speed she has playing her games! Would recommend!

Great Machine Does what it was designed for and works great.

I’ve been using it for my engineering school and it’s mostly good just has some problems freezing up when I’m running a programming app. Otherwise it’s good!

This has been a great computer so far. I found it available as a certified open box. I have had no issues with it and am enjoying playing games again.

Very bad experience. The laptop heats up and cant do any heavy work on it till i installed a software to limit the power to the CPU. But then the clock wont go last 3.3ghz as it will start heating up if it does. The CPU is awesome, but the hyper shift is comply messed up. At desktop at idle I see 50 to 70 going up and down. You are better of buying this CPU with Nvidia GPU as the GPU is heating up for no reason

My son love's his new computer!! Is fast and great for school and gayming.

Great laptop for gaming or multi tasking work. I use a lot excel and access and with this machine It perform well.

Best gaming laptop, enjoy the graphics and easy set up. I recommend for all laptop gaming users.

Decent gaming laptop, not the best battery life but overall no complaints other than that.

Beefy beefy runs and plays all the games I want without any issue . Can’t beat it for the price !
