Freezes during games, gets hot and loud from fan, and now one of the keys have broke:(

I find the Dell G5 SE easy to use, with great graphics. The printer is great and has a neat scanner function.

Runs pretty well. Haven't had any issues. Battery can run hot and fan can make noise. But not so much that it's awful. Pretty good buy for the price.

Love this laptop it cam with 3 games and when I bought it it was only 899 for the price it was a awesome buy

Ok laptop that I returned 3 days later. It performed as I expected an 8Gb RAM laptop to, except the mic never worked. Spent hours with Dell support, wiped the laptop twice and reloaded and the mic never allowed people to hear more than a whisper from me whether I was using the built in Mic or an external mic. That was a deal breaker so I returned it 3 days after I bought it.

Did a lot of research to get my son an affordable gaming/VR laptop that supports Oculus Rift s. Doing very little research before buying the model, I learned that you have to go to the actual AMD website and do a free upgrade so that the Oculus Rift s works without getting the error message from Oculus saying that the device doesn’t support the software. Everything works great without lagging.

Good experience. The charger plug was missing in the box and contacted local store and they have provided another charger plug.

Getting the laptop set up was a bit frustrating as it did not come with any manuals. Had to search online to get info on customizing. If you are not tech savvy this might be a daunting effort. Another aspect of the laptop that was quite infuriating was that my Bluetooth function and mouse pad function stopped working for no reason and I had to go search for drivers to update and restore functionality. If drivers need updating then they should all be done at once and not piecemeal. Setting up a laptop shouldn’t be this difficult. The built in speaker is not the greatest and suffered as it competed with the fan blower. Get yourself a pair of earbuds or a headset, you’ll appreciate the sound much better. The fan is noisy and is constantly kicking on since the laptop runs hot. It runs hot even when doing mundane things such as surfing the web or doing some Word document writing. Playing games on it will definitely challenge its’ cooling abilities. Although I have only played Fortnite on it so far, the system did get pretty hot so I can only imagine the laptop temperature if I was to play something more graphics challenging like Far Cry. The graphics were smooth and the laptop didn’t experience any lag when there were multiple webpages opened and other programs running concurrently. Not the best but it is a moderate priced gaming system so if you don’t want to spend the big bucks on a system for gaming, it is really not that bad and a good value. Once you get pass its warts and configure it the way you want it, it is a decent laptop.

# one my name is not karal it is karl. when i bought this laptop the salesman said it was touch screen, its not . I brought my old laptop in to have my info put on the new one. I had a house fire and it was smoke damaged, they were able to do it, but when i picked it up i did not get my cord back. Other than that i like your store, very friendly. Thanks, Karl Butler

So far so good! I bought it for my son, so he can use it for games. Cool lights, speedy quick.

I recently purchased the Dell G5 with Ryzen 7 from Best Buy. Works great.

Excellent for what I need. It glows. It does all my streaming. It works wonders.
