I bought this laptop originally because of the price to performance and thought I got a pretty good holiday deal on it. However the Laptop black screens and hard resets after less than an hour of gaming. Dell support basically told me there was nothing that they could do and that I had to pay to get it checked out. They tell you to download the bios update and download the correct drivers through the support assistant but even after all of that the device still cannot function properly. Many other purchasers of this laptop have had the same exact problems. I was easily able to exchange this laptop for another and it has been the best decision I've made.

Okay...So, this computer works great! Plays all the games I want to play and decent specs. My issue comes with the initial set up. Why do you sell a computer that needs so many initial Windows updates? I'm literally contemplating sending it back because I cannot get past the "Setting Up Windows" screen for Windows update. I've had to system reset 3 times already because it was taking longer than 5 hours to get my WIndows updated. This is so frustrating if you have no initial computer knowledge: DO NOT get this computer. I have till Feb 26th to return mine. I just might...

This laptop is amazing. Dell hit the mark with AMD Ryzen 7. This laptop has Desktop level performance in a portable form factor. The Nvme storage is fast and with 8 cores (16 threads) I have all the performance I need for Live streams, video editing and gaming. The dedicated graphics card m5600 is great.

It’s overall a good laptop but in my opinion it overheats way too easily.

Bought open box and was giving me blue screens. Geek squad had to wipe it and I had to manually get updates from Dell and alienware to get it working properly. Since doing that it seems to be running good. Downside to this unit is the lack of ram. You can however add new ddr4 ram sticks, just make sure they are compatible.

I bought this for a friend. I have a very positive impression of this laptop; my only complaint is the RAM configuration, but it's easy to add more yourself, so I didn't deduct a star. Pros: * It was refurb for around $750, which is a great price for what you get. It looked like-new and there weren't any issues with the product. Wouldn't recommend buying it at full retail price, though. * The 144 Hz screen is good for fast-paced gaming. * The 8c/16t 4800H is an exceptional laptop CPU that is almost on-par with desktop CPUs. * The RX 5600M is a decent GPU, with performance similar to the better-known GTX 1660 Ti. Cons: * Only 8 GB RAM is quite limiting in 2020. Strongly recommend buying a second stick for like $30, or even adding a 16 GB stick for $50.

I thought this laptop did the trick for what I bought it for. But there was still some room for improvement. My Wife basically uses it to web surf and play Sims 4 (Both of which run fine), but for what should of been slightly more powerful than my desktop PC, the Desktop PC Still runs games such as RB6 Seige at a higher quality.

This is a very powerful laptop with the 4800h. I adjusted the power managemnt settings to keep temps under control. If you want top notch performance at a value and dont mind adjusting some settings this is for you. This styling is lacking compared to competitors.

Does everything I hoped it would. Runs my games perfectly every time on optimum settings. Fan is louder than average laptop, but so loud that it becomes a negative. Does run warm with heavier work as expected but the fan always kicks in and keeps things running smoothly.

It gets too hot when you are seriously playing a real game.

I like the computer so far, pretty fast and can handle some decent sized games. The only complaint I really have is that the charger can be a little inconvenient sometimes, and maybe it could just be a little smaller etc. Otherwise this is a good computer to use.

For a starter laptop, this one is great, but I would still recommend saving for a $2k laptop, or just building a PC yourself if you have a location to put. It runs Valorant and Minecraft with no issue, but Siege will require just a little more power overall, it still runs Siege though, so long as the graphic settings are set to medium and low.

Being age 75, my knowledge for computers is limited. I had problems setting up the computer and needed help from the Geek Squad. I was more familiar with another browser than the one that was loaded on the computer and had to get help to put it on it. The Geek Squad personnel were very helpful and completed the tasks for me very easily.

I am very happy with the purchase, great price / performance ratio. I upgraded memory to 32GB and I got a powerful laptop for years to come. I still have another m.2 slot available to add storage in midterm, for now, happy with the 500GB SSD.

I purchased this laptop 6 weeks ago. Although I love the computer graphics, and ease of use - this computer is defective. Having it less than a few weeks, the computer started getting errors and it kept crashing. I brought it in to have it looked at and the Geek Squad corrected the errors stating it should be all set. Then this past weekend, once again the computer kept crashing. Geek Squad online wasn't able to assist. I will be returning it back to Best Buy to purchase another laptop as I cannot rely on this computer to work correctly for all I need to use it for.

great laptop, excellent speed. Make sure you get all the latest updates when you first start using the laptop, there were a few updates that are needed for the keyboard back lighting .I am very pleased with how this laptop performs.

Overall it’s a good laptop and at a very good price.

Have to say I am VERY impressed with this little gaming laptop. I have a Dell G7 also with an Nvidia RTX chip in it - technically my G7 has better specs than this, but this laptop for some reason just feels faster in nearly every meaningful way.

Not only did best buy helped me out when Walmart couldnt, but they helped me pick out a great gaming laptop!

I was tired of the limitations I constantly ran into with my Chromebook so it was time to find a laptop that would fill my needs. I found one that exceed my expectations!
