For the amount of money spent, to me, there is no excuse for running at 81+degrees Celsius when playing a a game that does not demand a lot. Seems like a fire hazard. Yeah, you can play around with the voltage but you should not have to for an off the shelf laptop. Even downloading the updates made no difference for me. Returned.

Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Not all bad but besides being very hot and loud You can try to work around the cooling issue this Dell G7 7500 cpu but honestly for the price I would try out the Asus Zephyrus m15 series This honestly had all the specs I would want, and has the potential of running games at a solid 60+ flat but after an hour of cpu intensive or even gpu intensive games the cpu got to hot for comfort 90+ Celsius. I guess you could just let it be but the life span of the laptop is drastically shorter. Also don't expect PC quality gaming you have to keep in mind laptops run hot and are supposed to do it mobily. Sadly you have to tweek and mess with a bunch of BIOS settings you can't undervolt because Dell is the dumbest company out there and they want your machine to break after a year or so.

If system thermals are of concern, you can prioritize cooling by opening the Alienware Command Center application that came pre-installed with your device and select the 'Cool' thermal profile.
Keep in mind that our G7 follows Intel performance design guidelines, which can lead CPU temperatures to reach 100°C to output top in-game performance. We fully warrant the product under these conditions. If you see CPU temperatures rising beyond 100°C on Alienware Command Center, please contact Dell support and they would be more than happy to assist.
