Great laptop, gaming capable, speedy!! Great price too!

Best Buy sells Dell computers that have a shelf life warranty. My computer which was a 2018 unit was sold to me without a warranty and did not work upon receipt. I had to pay for it to get repaired. Best Buy refunded me a partial purchase price. It is now a good computer.

The Dell G7 is a great bargain. The 1060 Max Q design allows me to play most Triple AAA games with high frame rates. The ease of upgradeability is another reason I bought this laptop. I upgraded my G7 by adding 16gb of ram and another 1TB SSD as a secondary drive. I recommend this laptop to any PC gamer! A great buy!

This laptop is golden for anyone who doesn't want to spend the extra paper rectangles on alienware. My 3 yr old has tossed this beast off the desk several times..(hes kind of a D*$%,but i know where he gets it from lol.) Lo and behold.. Zero issues thus far.. amazing rendering.. 10/10 would do again.

I've had the Dell G7 for a year now and, after lots of intensive use in the ways of music recording, daily drive and, the most important of all, gaming, I have found that this machine is very lacking compared to the price it is marketed at. To don't drag this for too long, the main problem of the Dell G7 is its thermal management. It just plainly sucks. It can't hold a full load for more than twenty minutes without having to thermal thorttle everything and, believe me, you will know when it throttles down. The intel i7 cpu in it is just too hot and, the full size NVIDIA graphics card in it doesn't make things easier. The software in charge of handling this doesn't prevent, it reacts which means that the fans won't spin fast enough until it is already too late. The computer is also VR. If you have never tried VR, then you are in for a treat because every five minutes or so, you will miss out on a lot of stuff happening because when you thermal throttle while in VR, everything freezes inside and starts blinking very rapidly so...an epilepsy attack might be in for that as well. If you don't know why, its simply because a virtual reality headset demands double the horsepower of a normal task in order to carry it out smoothly and successfully. In short, don't. There are better options for this price point. The only good thing about it is the keyboard and the aesthetic but, you don't come this high looking for something that looks pretty on the outside and performs like garbage on the inside. (Games tested where Star Citizen, DCS World, Apex Legends, X-Plane 11, Overwatch, Battlefield 1 and 5, Call of Duty Modern Warfare. ALl of them at mid to high settings over a year).

Bought this for work due to their memory and graphic requirements. It's slightly too large for the travel I do with it. No problem on Dell's part or Best Buy's part in that aspect. The Dell works great, Best Buy service was great. I added the memory card easily.

This laptop is really good for what I bought it for which is streaming on Twitch and photo editing. I wouldn't recomend playing games like COD BO4 or BF1 on high with this PC since it probably won't handle it. It would work at best medium to low graphic settings.

I use this when I'm not able to play on my gaming desktop. I have to say, that this does the job pretty well. It can handle the games that I normally play on my desktop, but the only bad thing is, I have to be plugged into the wall for maximum performance.

Great laptop, plays pretty much any game I throw at it with high or very high settings. The only fly in the ointment is the display needs to be brighter. However that is a pretty common issue with gaming laptops in this price range.

I bought this laptop for my daughter for gaming and she finds it a very good and strong machine. She likes the design and the display quality. Games run smoothly, without any delays or issues with the 3D performance. Totally satisfied with price/quality, this is an awesome budget gaming laptop.

My husband and I know nothing about gaming laptops, but I gave it a five star rating because it is something our grandson has wanted for a long time. His father helped us pick it out and, although it was more than we had planned on spending, the look on his face when he got it was worth it!

This is what I was looking for it. I have a very big Swimming Pool Software to run and I needed a video card in a laptop good enough to support that software. Well I got it now, the video run smooth and the overall performance of this PC is exactly what I needed!

Got this bad boy for just under a grand. Absolutely the best laptop under $1000. (That doesnt include taxes but its tecnically under 1000). Super satisfied just wish that the screen was above 60hz since the gpu can do more but then the price would go up so its all good.

I'm not the user, but here's what my 13-year-old son says about the device: this laptop runs just about every game with 60fps on high settings, and if you don't feel satisfied with the amount of RAM and storage space you always have the option to upgrade it in the future.
