So i was torn between this and the touch screen and i could not be happier. I am not a hardcore gamer and purchased this for school but with the new remastered warcraft 3 announced today i can promise I will be pushing this as a gaming laptop! Worth the money!!

Love the feel of this laptop! It feels big even though it's of moderate size. I upgraded the 8GB (2x4) RAM with two 8 GB RAM sticks and has even been able to play the Oculus Rift, although my room is a bit too small it stills plays it in my living room.

Haven't spent a lot of time playing on this system yet but so far I love the quality the look The feel and most all the reviews I've read also say this is a great intermediate gaming platform! So far I can say this is a great value for the money!

This computer was bought for my 8th gr son to use through high school. He does a lot of video editing and creating as well and this computer is a good fit for that. The folks at Best Buy were very helpful with finding the best computer for his needs.

This turns out to be a very good computer for keeping it under $1,000 Some of the best specs really enjoy all the ports elections has good backlighting keys just an all-around good computer no complaints here

This is a good gaming laptop for the priçe. I use it to stream twitch and edit videos. Has a strange energy problem with the USB. Mostly fixed by having a powered USB hub. I mainly got it to travel to Japan

I love this G7 and it’s the first dell I have ever purchased. It’s fast, slick, keyboard is lit up so it’s easy to see, and it’s been great for playing games and watching movies. No optical drive kind of sucks but you can get by without it.

I was looking for a good gaming laptop for under $1500. This one does everything I could ask of it. Fans can get a bit hot at times but that was expected. Just get something to set it on if your going to keep it in your lap.

I bought this for my 12 year old son that loves to game. Maybe it was a little overkill but I hope this is something that could last him for a very long time! So far, we are extremely happy with every aspect!

Best buy gave a pretty good deal and the product is a great purchase. Strong performance and specifications are great. Strong build and looks are impressive too.

Computer was solid and decent. For the price, I would recommend getting even last years laptops that are made of better build quality. Quite honestly, the build quality and the screen were a big turn off for me. It was very bulky and the bezels were huge, screen seemed cheap and colors were washed out, plastic everything all over. It is a solid performer, but otherwise I wouldn't recommend this laptop.

I'll keep it brief and just put what I wish I'd known prior to purchasing this laptop: You will not be able to use it for gaming. All the tech specs are great and it's capable of running AAA-level graphics; it just doesn't. Initially, had zero issues. The fan was loud but I couldn't care less about that because I'm gaming with headphones on. Bios update killed the functionality of the laptop and it's now the most frustrating piece of tech I've ever owned. To the point where I think it's borderline criminal that the functionality of it has been gimped by an irreversible update to the bios that throttles to the point of making the laptop useless. I'll stop complaining but if you can take anything away from this, just don't buy this. Try something else. If you do buy this, remember, three months from now, when you're tearing your hair out every time to need to reinstall Nvidia drives, set up program-specific settings for the games you want to play for the 10th time in as many days just to get two hours of full performance before the bios hijacks your settings again, that I tried to warn you. Seriously, this should be a class action. This thing is trash.

Not bad got a Great deal for it $850 on sale...YEEE! Had the Nitro5 returned it pay extra 100 bucks more and got this G7 more cores and 1060 max q more vram :)

Failed to look close enough at the specs but was VERY happy to see that this laptop had a 6 core CPU. 6G dedicated video allows the 8G of ram to handle everything. I got this for graphics and some drafting.

I bought this for gaming and the fans stopped working after only 9 months. It over heats now without a fan under it.

The hardware is very nice and fore the price quite impressive. The build quality is lower end, pretty much all plastic, however still looks nice.

This laptop has a newer version of the i7, the older 1060 video card, a solid state drive and performs great. It was also on sale so that is a plus.

I like the specs on this laptop that found it heavy and the styling of it wasn't for me.

Laptop is fast and like the fact it has 3 USB ports available. The base is sturdy and weighted. Makes opening laptop easier and not worry about flipping it over.

I bought this for the sole use of gaming and so far it works great with all games. Great laptop for use with the OCULUS RIFT!
