I wanted to buy this and install a mechanical drive because I liked that this G7 model had a 256 SSD. I bought a 1T mechanical drive for the extra storage, but it didn't fit in the slot. tried it with 3 other drives(one was from my Dell G5 gaming laptop). HOW COULD IT NOT FIT?!?!?!?!?!

one of the great benefits of this machine is how easy it is to upgrade the RAM. literally one screw in the back to remove and the whole system is at your disposal.

My son loves this computer, but it gets only 4 stars due to the fact the salesman said certain games would run good on it and they don't.

Dell Gaming Laptop is a very powerful laptop and is able to handle most games at epic/ultra settings in 1080p. This laptop is great for games like Fortnite or Overwatch, as they run well on this machine. It can connect to my Bluetooth portable speaker with no issues. It is very good at multitasking thanks to the Core i7. With 16 GB ram, it can run a virtual machine without issues. Sound quality on the external speakers is not the best in market, however the sound drivers are extraordinary in the headphones or earphones. Great during gaming. The overall build quality is amazing. It is a bit heavy though, but it is fine considering the config and the stability of the system. I love that it's silent and there is literally no heat coming out of it. The number pad is placed perfectly as well as the arrow keys. Even though the arrow keys are not labeled with the fn functions, you can still hold fn arrow key and get the home, end, page up, page down functionality so its not the end of the world with them being at the top right in an inconvenient place. The metal frame keeps cool to the touch and cleans easy. The matted screen is very nice and makes it easy to work near a window or while outside. The frame is strong enough to rest my hand on it while it overhangs with no flex. This laptop is great for gamers out there that just want a better playing experience. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.

Sometime, I need a high performance laptop to run matlab, and need fast CPU and large memory, this one is really good one and is not that expensive.

This is a great machine for anyone looking to do 4k video editing, gaming and music production. Bang for buck redefined!

I find the computer to be fairly light in weight. The colors are very vivid. The operating system is much faster than my old computer.

This is a great midpoint machine for photography and video editing. Add more memory a descent Hard drive and you get a very nice horse.

Runns games great as well as basic programs. Is easy to upgrade with geek squad if you need to. I switched out my 8 GB ram for 16gb

It's big and heavy. Hard to go around. Computer itself is ok.
