I really like the computer it is fast and looks sharp. once you get rid of the bloatware and set your downloads and programs to set up to go your data drive you are good to go. My biggest problem is with Dell. It was advertised as having a PCie 16 3.0 x 16 It only has Pcle 16 3.0 x 8. no major deal breaker according to tech power you only loose about 1% or 1 fps in gaming. Even through the Graphics card is labeled an Rx 580 It is nothing more than a relabeled RX 480 with same specs. Another bad think is this computer is really not upgrade able unless you change out the power supply because it only comes with a 460 watt power supply. I could not build the machine for this and I got it on sale and it is wickedly fast.

Better than previous PCs I have owned . . . BUT

I have owned and used many PCs over the past 25 years, but this was my first PC with a SSD . It boots fast, but otherwise not quite what I expected for all the top components inside. I have one major problem I have so far been unable to resolve: The Shut Down button will not actually turn off the PC, it just reboots back into Windows! Very annoying indeed. Internet search results for a fix have so far all failed to resolve this issue. I bought it on sale and saved $200 off original price.

I waited to make this purchase for a few months. I have never purchased a new pre-built desktop computer or a Dell. I always build my own. I finally decided to buy this PC because I couldn't build one without spending a couple hundred dollars more for less so to speak. Overall I am happy with my purchase! Dell did something special here. Highly recommended!

Purchased this computer less than 6 months ago. At first I had minor problems but overall I was very happy. Then a month into ownership I started getting blue screen error messages and the computer would reboot. This has been happening once or twice a month for the last 4 to 5 months and I can't find the problem that is causing it. It is very annoying since I am usually in the middle of typing something and everything is lost and I have to restart. I thought I would give Dell a chance since they were the first to come out with a decent AMD Ryzen desktop that I could purchase in store but I will be switching back to HP. I've had HP computers for at least 20 years and never had the problems I have had with this computer.

      Hello Mike10,

We're very sorry to hear that your new Dell computer is experiencing Blue Screen Error messages. We know it can be frustrating for your computer to shut down while you're in the middle of something important. We'd recommend that you run this diagnostic to see what may be causing these Blue Screen Errors:

      1. At the desktop, click the Search the web and Windows box and type "problem reports".
      2. Select View all problem reports to view a list of errors that have occurred on your computer and possible solutions for them, such as updating drivers, flashing your system BIOS, or checking for updates to the software.
      3. Under the Source column, look for Windows and under Summary, look for Shut down unexpectedly.
      4. Right-click the line item and select Check for a solution.

You can read the full article here - http://dell.to/2u98Cct.

We hope this helps lessen the number of errors that you are experiencing on your computer.

      Best,
      Bryan

Amazing processor, great graphics card. I wanted something with a SSD, super quick boot up, but the 7200 RPM hard drive is great too because you need the extra storage as well. The main games I'm playing are PUBG and Battlefield 1. Games look fantastic and run great. 3.6 ghz processor, 16 gb ddr4 ram, 8gb dedicated graphics, and the hard drives make this well worth the price. The dell inspiron gaming line is basically alienware without the price markup. Sure, the 1070 and 1080 will be better than the AMD radeon 580 but this card will run your games great! the included mouse and keyboard are decent. it does come with them, doesn't state on the box. if you're like me and bought this before accessories, the mouse actually isn't terrible. keyboard is eh. it has 1 hdmi and 3 displayport connections. i would recommend hard wiring (connecting to ethernet) I have gigabit internet and man is it blazing fast. speedtest shows 9ms response and over 600 mbps download consistently,

Graphics Card is Dying Upon Arrival

After several hours of setup, I'm getting graphical errors, artifacts, and texture stretching. I've tried both HDMI and DisplayPort, I've tried a different monitor, I've tried factory resetting the computer, updating the graphics card, and short of updating the BIOS, it is not where I need it to be. I don't know if it's Best Buy's inspection procedure, Dell's pre-built computer quality, or just poor handling during shipment, but something went haywire. It's not the first Inspiron machine to do it with me either. Purchase with caution.

      Hi ASavvyGamer,

We're sorry to see that your new computer is giving you trouble. We'd recommend updating the BIOS on your computer if you have not already done this.

We'd also recommend running the Dell SupportAssist App since this will ensure that all of the latest drivers and software are installed on your computer. We hope that these tips help your computer perform better for you.

    A Solid Station

Solid build. Clean on the inside. Easy to take panel off. Fired up right away and easy to get going. Clear as to how to adjust settings and such. Fast, quite and the blue is not too bright. Playing Witcher 3 on max. settings 60fps with zero issues (sometimes too fast cause I don’t get to see the hints during load screens #fwp). Starcraft 2 with zero issues. Editing and processing 4K video super fast and quiet. Using two screens with zero issues (non 4K). Plenty of well placed I/Os. Small and light weight. The only thing I don’t like is adjustment to the price. I paid $1,299.00 then 2 days later the price dropped $200. Bestbuy has a price match program but what about price matching themselves? I’m not one to play the return game and switch it out. Just advertise an honest price and stick to it in my opinion. Anyway, left a bad taste in my mouth. Be sure to be patient. Though $1,099 is a steal on a rig with this kind power especially with how quiet and small it is.

This P/C was a steal for when I purchased it. It was only $1050 and the graphics card, as well as, cpu took up roughly $700-$800 meaning that you received everything else for about $300. I tried and could not replicate the same p/c with similar specs for the price. It is a very nice p/c to handle gaming and be a working station p/c.

The computer has everything I was looking for: an SSD, additional drive, good video card, lots of memory and a CD drive. Any issues I have had I believe are Windows 10 or browser issues. Even with the large memory there are still some web pages (mlb.com) that say I did not have enough memory. I have had that with 3 other computers as well so it is not unique to this configuration. The machine boots up quickly and runs everything fine. I keep numerous programs open and numerous tabs in browsers at all times. Multiple Excel and Word files are open as well with no difficulty.

Built this thing for gaming and I love it. Plays Star Wars Battlefront 2, with everything turned up the highest, and this machine took it like a champ. This Rizen7 is a Intel crusher, better than any I7 on the market and for many years to come. Because of the 8gb 8 core CPU. I added a matching stick of RAM, so 2 slots each holding 16gb wow. Must Buy....

This machine is very powerful and well within budget of a gaming system. Sleek, Compact, Expandable, Ultra Quiet, Simplified Dell Software (not the usual bloatware) Overall a solid machine that can handle anything I have thrown at it without breaking a sweat. The Ryzen 7 makes multitasking simple and very fluid. Lights are visible without being blinding allowing the case to fit into any decor. Case is very solid and made to last. Super responsive with just the slightest touch.

So far I’ve had it a day but I am a computer builder and repair person I have been pushing this computer to many limits not heard much noise from this pc playing assassins creed odyssey at high settings the computer runs every day tasks like butter in my brief time with it it puts a lot of PCs to shame for prebuilt gaming desktops and I like the ability to shut the lighting off I picked this up as a open box for a little over 550 dollars I was sceptical considering it was only taken out of the store for less then 2 weeks but I made the right choice if your in the market for a new gaming pc don’t look anywhere else

I have been totally impressed with this desktop. First I did get a lot of computer for the money. Bought it on closeout and can't believe how packed it is with features. I usually go with intel but the AMD Ryzen processor is very fast and with the solid state drive it boots vey quickly. It has ample storage with the 1 TB hard drive that is included. Graphics are sharp and fast with 8 GB to handle any game or CAD program. Looks good to, I really like the blue lighting in the case, Runs quietly and does not get hot. Glad I decided on this beast.

I bought this computer for video editing. I am blown away by render times for Adobe Premier. It exports videos very quickly and during the process it does not lag. It opens up the adobe application within seconds. The boot time for this computer is also amazing. Within seconds of hitting the power button you are up and running. As soon it turns on you can start using it. Not like other computers where it turns on and you still have to give it a couple of minutes. I will be adding SSD to this computer and thats about it. Great computer and I highly recommend it.

This an Oculus ready PC that is fast (and have beefy workstations at my job) and quiet with tons of ports without having to build your own. Came with limited bloatware too. The only negative would be only one HDMI but we should all be moving to DisplayPort anyhow.

I ruminated on this purchase for some time, waiting on the right price and coupon combo, but planned to purchase as my old home built was starting to fade after 5 years. I looked at putting together a similar unit from parts and building it myself, but couldn't match the price nor the guarantee that everything would just work. For this price, I was assured that everything would work together and give me not only the speed and flexibility that I desired but also knowing I would have easier support options. As I consultant, I've often recommended Dell to clients and this time I decided to "eat my own dog food" and purchase an off the shelf computer instead of building my own and I am clad I did. It's fast, looks great and silent. I mean REALLY silent. I had to check if it was on as compared to my old box with all of those fans. SSD for boot drive means almost instant start ups and the 1TB HDD means no more external drives (except for my backups of course). Was partitioned and setup properly and I'm really happy with my purchase.

    Excellent Gaming Computer so Far

This computer is awesome and does everything we need it to. I do like to game and it has handled every game I have been able to throw at it. And the boot up speed is nothing short of amazing. I do not have a single complaint about the computer, minus the fact that Dell makes their parts proprietary. Meaning any upgrades in the future will have to be sourced from dell (major parts like the motherboard). I attempted to go with IBUYPOWER for this reason, but after three attempts (one bad hard drive, one bad mother board, and one that wouldn't start) I counted my losses (so much time in returning) and went with a brand I have had good luck with before. By the way, Best Buys customer service is top notch. Their return process was hassle free. 5 stars for the store.
