I was skeptical of buying "open box" but it came like it was as new. Shipping was as promised.

I had wanted to buy a 24" Monitor, but was sold a 23.8 Monitor. It may seem trivial, but I would have likely chosen a 26" Monitor if I had known it was not a 24" Monitor. The sales person was not helpful with my request. The Monitor is bright and and easy to read, just the same. The PC seems fine, but it is too soon to know all of its features. The keyboad is excellent. It has a soft touch andan helpful rest pad.

Needed to replace my 15+ unit and this seemed to fix all the needs I had.

Easy set up right out of the box. Old files were easy to transfer from my backup hard drive.

Have 2 others with the 8GB Ram model. The extra ram is nice to have.

This is a great deal on a very basic simple computer with modern hardware that will suffice for most home users that do not have high expectations. Gen 7 i5-7400 Kaby Lake processor is the lowest end in the series although quite capable. It is unfortunately somewhat hobbled by using the lowest end H110 chipset and a motherboard that is both proprietary and without many features found on other boards. You will have a difficult time transferring this to another standard case if you ever wish to do so but it can be done with some fudging. It would be nice if Dell would put in $10-$20 more for another chipset and a few motherboard doodads. They continue to use proprietary power supplies that are very low power (merely 240w) so if you need a graphics card (always recommended over onboard graphics although the Intel HD630 is much improved for basic use)...your choices are extremely limited. You cannot upgrade the power supply without DIY'ing the wiring and positioning the new unit outside of the case. There is only an HDMI and VGA video output so some people may need adapters or new cords for monitor hookup. Unfortunately Dell cheaped out on the WiFi card and this does not support the zippy and most current ac standard, and it's a cheap card to begin with, so the WiFi performance is sub par. This unit will also not be able to take advantage of future upgrades that are on the horizon, so buy it if your needs are basic internet browsing, home office documents, simple photo editing and video watching, but if you need a little more from your system or want to upgrade anything, you'll need to spend a bit more for something with hardware that will accept that. Overall this is a good unit at an attractive price point with low end but modern and capable hardware - it certainly makes a good upgrade to computers that are over 4-ish years old with the added benefit of an operating system and related software/firmware that are much more secure.
