Great Value, Kind of Slow
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Overall - this is great PC for any basic needs or for someone that simply checks their email/social media & wants to watch the occasional TV show or movie. If you want to start getting into bigger things such as gaming or photo/video editing, I would recommend a different machine. I have had the computer for about a month, and for all of the basic needs - it's wonderful. I can play some smaller games that aren't too graphic heavy (Age of Empires & World of Warcraft), but after that, they become challenging (Fortnite or any FPS). I do not do any photo/video editing, but I doubt this machine's capability to handle that. I personally like Windows 10. I know it gets some hate, but it's actually really simple to use. I turned off all of the obnoxious notifications the system sends you on the right hand side from Dell & Microsoft, but since then - it's been very smooth sailing! I couldn't give it a 5th star due to the power up time. Because this PC does not have an SSD, it takes a minute or two to get running. Again - I've only had the computer for a month, so I'd like to think I haven't overloaded the HDD yet. A simple SSD in the build would have been nice, if nothing else, just for the OS so it could boot quicker. Overall - I would recommend this PC for someone that is not looking to do too many taxing things on it. It's very basic, but will accomplish most standard tasks. It's made a great edition to my home office & I think it's a great value for under $600.

Exactly what I needed
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Owned this PC for nearly a month now and no problems whatsoever. Not too cheap nor expensive. Just within my price range and it works amazingly! Smooth, fast, and looks great. Good for multitasking, schoolwork, and everyday surfing.

Horrible
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought the computer mid - February of 2017, and soon learned that the AMD graphics card that came with it was not in the computer. It was promised at the tag at my local best buy. six months later, I'm trying to sell this hunk of junk and when I go to turn it on, it says there is a corrupt OS. I take very good care of my electronics, and do not leave it running constantly, I don't play around it, and it still looks brand new. However, I turned it on to do Homework, and it is now completely done for. I cant even turn it on anymore. I was planning to get a nicer computer, by selling this one, because I need one that can run editing software for my business, but now I'm limited to getting a Chromebook for school only, and I can no longer make money, to get that nicer laptop. Thanks Dell.

Posted .James, Thanks for your review and we're sorry to hear that you're having trouble with your Operating System on your desktop. Here are some steps you can follow to hopefully get your computer to turn on again for you: Step 1: Verify the computer finishes initial power-up (POST). In many cases a computer will not attempt to hand off control to the operating system. If you power the computer on and you see a Dell logo screen with a bar at the bottom, and that bar fills up completely and disappears, then your computer has successfully completed POST. Click here if your computer does not complete POST - http://dell.to/2vnAKbX. Step 2: Unplug All External Devices
A piece of hardware may be interfering with the normal boot process of Windows. The only devices you should leave attached to your computer are your monitor, mouse and keyboard, if the computer is a desktop. Step 3: Check for specific error messages. Try searching for additional solutions on the Web.
Click on your preferred search engine below, then describe your problem, including any specific error messages. Step 4: Reset the BIOS to default values. If your computer is set to first attempt to boot to another device, this may cause issues with successfully booting to Windows. To reset your computer's BIOS to factory defaults, perform the following steps:
1. Restart the computer.
2. At the Dell logo during restart, tap the F2 key repeatedly until you see Entering Setup in the top right corner of the screen.
3. Depending on the BIOS, you may need to press a key listed at the bottom of the screen to load default settings.
4. Press ESC to exit the BIOS, and be sure to select Save and Exit to save your changes. Step 5: Run a Computer Diagnostic. If you are unable to boot the system to access the Dell Online Diagnostics, use the Dell Pre-boot System Diagnostics.
5. To determine if your computer is experiencing a hardware problem, run the Dell Online Diagnostics. Step 6: Reset your Windows 10 operating system. If your system files have been damaged, a reset of Windows 10 reinstalls these files without damaging your data. After the third attempt to boot has failed, Windows 10 will automatically boot into the Windows Recovery Environment (WinRE). Follow these steps to reset Windows 10:
1. At the Choose an option screen, select Troubleshoot.
2. At the Troubleshoot screen, select Reset this PC.
3. At the Reset this PC screen, select Keep my files.
4. Select your user account and enter the password if prompted.
5. Select Reset.
6. Windows will perform the reset process. Step 7: Virus and malware troubleshooting. Your computer may be affected by a virus or other malicious software. Dell recommends strengthening your PC against malicious attacks by keeping your antivirus software up-to-date. Step 8: Restore the operating system to factory settings
If the previous troubleshooting could not resolve your issue, it may be necessary to restore your computer to factory settings. To restore your computer's operating system and software to the original factory settings, refer to Dell Knowledge Base article, "Reset or reinstall Windows 10 on a Dell computer" - http://dell.to/2wBxtJR. We hope that some of these tips help to get your desktop up and running again.
