I’ve been using computers daily since the early 1990’s and I always come back to Dell monitors. They are built solid, are quality monitors, and will last long after many other brands meet their fate. The overall design of this monitor is very good. There is a small, approximately ¼” black, bezel that surrounds the screen and makes it appear almost invisible. Because of the bezel’s small size and color, the screen appears much larger than other monitors that are equal in size. The stand and monitor are an easy, quick assembly right out of the box without the use of any tools. The stand is solid and attractive, allows for wire management and adjustments of the screen to provide 178 degree viewing angles, both vertically and horizontally. The graphics card that I have chosen for my desktop works great with the Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. With computer assisted drafting (CAD) and photo editing software, this monitor delivers a solid performance for all the details required of my work while also providing crisp, bright, clear images. Digital and analog devices can both be connected to this monitor because it has a VGA and an HDMI connection. There is only one of each type of connection, but after using 50 lb 25” monitors for many years, this is not a CON for me. With older consumer monitors I would have never dreamed of the convenient connections in newer technology, or the light weight beautiful LED flat screens. When I remember the difficulty in switching cables in the earlier consumer monitors before flat screens, then I think this is a wonderful set-up. I have been using an identical monitor to this one, but in a larger size and it is much easier on my eyes than many other monitors or laptops that I use. Contributing to the ease on my eyesight is probably a combination of the anti-glare screen design, the LEDs that provide backlighting to the pixels, the 178° horizontal and vertical viewing angles, the dynamic contrast ration of 8,000,000:1 which creates the crisp and clear images with the deep blacks and bright highlights, the 250 cd/m2 brightness and the 60 Hz refresh rate. ENERGY STAR certified, this monitor also carries a 1-year warranty on both parts and labor. For many reasons, some mentioned here, this is an excellent buy and I would recommend it to anyone looking for a solidly built monitor with crisp, clear and precise images.

Excellent Picture, but Stand & Ports Need Work

My experience with Dell monitors has always been very pleasant. Of course, not all monitors are created equal and some have been far more enjoyable than others but still good experiences all around. The Dell S2319NX 23" certainly lives up to my expectations for Dell quality. Packaging is nice and out of the box, the monitor looks to be built well. Assembly is pretty straight forward. Base connected to vertical support via a screw and the Base + vertical support connect easily to the back of the monitor. Unfortunately, my biggest complaint about the S2319NX is that you can only make adjustments to the tilt of the monitor, not to the vertical height. Maybe that isn't an issue for everyone, but for those working at standing desks or of different heights, we might want to customize our viewing height. You can't do that here and there doesn't appear to be any way that you could use this monitor with a multi-monitor (or single) stand that you purchased yourself. I'm clearly not a fan of the stand, but I do like the fact that the monitor has a nice sleek appearance on the back which isn't always the case. Additionally, the bezel is extremely small which I think adds an extremely modern appearance as your screen isn't bordered by a bulky box. The picture is very satisfying. Colors are vibrant enough with plenty of brightness. Viewing angles were also quite nice and enjoyable viewing at almost up to 180 degrees. The monitor comes with the standard array of customization options which should allow most of us to find a desirable setting that suits our particular needs. I found the menu buttons slightly lacking in that you don't know what the button does before you push it. The S2319NX does have an audio in and audio out, but does not include any built in speakers. I'm fine with this as it would just detract from the monitor itself. The monitor only has one VGA port and one HDMI port on the back which can limit its possible uses, but just requires some manual swapping like we had to do in the old days before everything (except this monitor) had six ports for every imaginable connection. Additionally, the power supply is a bulky AC adapter which I haven't noticed on any of my other monitors. This will likely be hidden behind your desk, but is a minor frustration having to cram it in with all the other bulky power packs and power strips. In all, I think the Dell S2319NX is a good value (especially right now, it's on sale for $129.99 AND was on sale earlier for $99!). If you need a good quality monitor that will likely still be very functional even after 2-3 computers have been tossed in the garbage, this is a solid bet. Almost all of it's deficiencies can be overcome by relatively minor adjustments, but I think the lack of additional HDMI ports and vertical height adjustment are my biggest complaints and may be a deal breaker for some. If I'm just using this for a basic home office or work computer, it'll more than satisfy your needs. Pros: *Picture quality *Response time *Small bezel *Stylish back design *Price Cons: *Lack of vertical height adjustment *Lack of more than 1 HDMI port *Inability to mount on anything other than the included stand

The bezels are pretty small so it's a great supplementary monitor. There is no audio but it has a headphone jack. There is only one HDMI port so that isn't ideal if you want to connect multiple devices. Decent color and brightness and well worth it's cost

I opted for this monitor based on the brand. It gets the job done but it is over-priced and in an age where 4K has become the new standard I would expect a lesser price. Also, the sound quality could be a lot better.

This is my first LED screen and I'm impressed. Dell is known for quality products, and I knew this monitor would be worth it. The clarity of this LED monitor is very nice for my needs. I don't need a 4K for my home use, but I feel like this is definitely a business class monitor from what I can tell. The infinity edge bezel is very nice. I like the way the minimum border makes the screen look absolutely huge. The monitor is great for home use and easy to put together and get set up and running very quickly. Simply put, it's light, thin, and big. Easily a screen that makes any and all things easy to read and view.

The monitor seems to work fine, however, this is a low end Dell. There are no VESA mounts on the back to mount this monitor to an arm or to wall mount it. This was not immediately obvious until I got it home.

    THE WORST EXPERIENCE

11/12/20 Best Buy fan here, but their customer service needs work. This is a reflection of customer service. I have no other choice, but to try to get Best Buy's attention another way. I've been dealing with an issue involving this order FOR WEEKS, having been put on hold for hours, then disconnected, then having to re-explain, then repeating the process for weeks now. Very frustrated! I just keep getting transferred and transferred. When I finally find one that can potentially help, I get put on hold, it disconnects, and I can't get reconnected to the same department because Best Buy is disorganized apparently. It all started when my Best Buy store cancelled one of the items in my order and overcharged me for the rest. I also had an exchange, which the store processed as a return, which then messed up my order some more. For example, I bought 2 of these for $89.99, but Best Buy charged me $159.99 each. All in all, my order # should have only charged me around $520 including taxes. At the time of this review, Best Buy has collected more than $608.00 per the last competent agent I spoke to. Unfortunately, most seem to not understand simple math. Multiple agents and multiple attempts at refunds have been short. ATTENTION: I AM STILL SHORT CLOSE TO $89. At this point, the amount of time and life I've put into this is not even worth the money anymore. THIS IS JUST A CAUTION FOR PEOPLE OUT THERE. BEST BUY CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THE WORST I'VE EXPERIENCED. I WISH YOUR ORDER GOES SMOOTHLY.

Decent second monitor for it's price

For the size and price of this monitor, it's pretty decent. It's not great, but it's pretty decent. I've been using a 1440p 27" monitor as my main monitor for some time but wanted a second monitor to keep an eye on some things while gaming and such. This guy does the trick and doesn't break the pocket book. Picture quality is pretty OK. I feel like the colors are a little bit washed out even on the highest brightness settings. I've played with the picture settings as well as their built in presets and nothing seems to make the picture "pop". It's definitely not BAD, but I think it could be a little brighter. Setup is as easy as plugging in to your HDMI port of your video card. I suppose this would also work for a console if you're looking for a monitor just for console gaming. Can't imagine why it wouldn't work. My biggest complaint about the monitor is the lack of VESA mounting support. It's not necessarily the monitor's fault that I kind of assumed most modern monitors just came standard with VESA mount support these days. I would assume this is how they keep the costs down a little bit by not paying for the license fees to use the standard. On the note of mounting, the included mount is alright. The monitor just kind of clicks into it and you're done. Easy to set up but sturdiness could be a little better. Again, not BAD, just not great. So I said it a couple times in this review and it stands true for my overall review of this monitor. It's not BAD, it's just not great. This monitor will do fine for most of what you probably need it for. It's cheap and good enough for that price. It won't blow you away but it won't leave you wishing you never pulled the trigger on it either. For a second monitor, it really is good. If you need a cheap main monitor, too, I'd say this will do.

    Nice Price for Solid Monitor

This monitor has an excellent price/performance point. It is very clear and offers several built-in color/brightness modes. It comes with a VGA port and an HDMI port, but no DisplayPort which is not expected at this low price point. It handled some gaming quite well but I’d prefer better specifications for gaming uses - for example 240Hz refresh rate and 1-ms response time. However, it is an excellent monitor especially if you have a laptop less than 15 inches and you want a bigger display to watch YouTube videos or even online movies; for these and your day to day functions it is quite nice. The stand is tilt-able and I found that adequate. If you need to raise it higher, you’ll need to put it on a stand. One thing that caught me a little by surprise is that with an HDMI connection, two different laptops defaulted to the monitor for sound. Since this monitor has no speakers this is peculiar. It is easy enough to click on your speaker icon and choose to use other speakers, but I think there could be a firmware update that fixes this. This little snag is probably due to the fact that there are three models of displays of which this monitor is the low end one. One of the other models in the series does have speakers. I actually don’t want speaker-monitors. Since the new Bluetooth speakers are so good, I use those; but wanted to give a heads up in my review for this situation. It has selectable modes for Standard, ComfortView, Movie, Game, Warm and Cool. You can also configure a custom viewing level that you might prefer. I did like the Movie view for everything since it seemed to tone down the glossy appearance of this screen. You should definitely try different modes; and even use different modes for different purposes. It is very easy to use the menus that the monitor provides. At this price point this monitor is a very good choice, I do recommend it.

I bought this monitor on a whim it was on sale and thought it would at least be worth trying out. I knew it wasn’t the highest resolution screen when i bought it. However when i set it up, it wasn’t terrible but i could see all the individual pixels and the viewing angles weren’t that good either. I ended up returning it. I mean if you’re using it for data entry and word documents, it’s not bad, but for anything else i would search for a higher resolution display.
