Lackluster for such an expense — NO SUPPORT

Waste of money for gaming
||Posted . Owned for 3 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I purchased this monitor in anticipation for Xbox series x. The monitor will not allow me to play in 1440p at 120 FPS. I’ve done a lot of research on it and pretty much there is no answer for it. I would not recommend this monitor if you want it for gaming. Very disappointed. Out now $400+

Amazing Monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.A must buy. 1st of all I can't believe this is a TN panel. 2nd is the features, this monitor for the money has everything you could want in a gaming monitor. Freesync works great on both AMD and Nvidia cards, no flickering at all. The color is very good and with a little tinkering can be great. Blacks are good and being a TN you would think everything would be kinda washed out but not even a little bit on this panel. I was very hesitant to get this monitor when I saw that it was a TN but all the reviews said it was a great monitor and they were not lying. The one downside is there is not a DisplayPort cable included so to use freesync and 144hz you will need to get one. Other than that I strongly suggest picking up this monitor, especially if you can pick it up for 300$, You won't regret it.

Beautiful monitor.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Prior to picking up this monitor, I'd tried three different 1440p 32" VA monitors. They all had the same inherent flaws: smeary motion due to poor pixel response times, unnaturally over saturated colors, and weird flickering under certain conditions. I decided to abandon my VA panel experiment and return to a more modern TN monitor than my old ViewSonic XG2701. I was not disappointed. In fact, I was blown away. Motion clarity on this monitor is exceptionally good due to the 155hz refresh rate and very fast pixel response times. No smearing on this screen. More than that, however, it's got excellent, well-balanced color. One professional review stated that Dell achieved near IPS-level color with this screen, and I'm inclined to agree. Unlike IPS monitors, however, this screen doesn't have glow or backlight bleeding, and has very fast pixel response times. Most importantly for gamers, input lag is incredibly low on this screen. It's imperceptible. Multiple professional reviews measured the signal lag at under 6ms. That's stellar. When combined with rapid pixel response times, you end up with one of the fastest monitors around. It's a steal. Every one of the VA monitors I'd tried also exhibited flickering when FreeSync was turned on. It happened under different circumstances depending on the manufacturer, but it was always present, even when the monitor used a flicker-free backlight. That isn't the case with this monitor. I haven't seen flicker in any games, or on the desktop. It's also worth noting that the 1440p 32" monitors all had pixel density that was higher than my XG2701, but much lower than 1440p on a 27" screen. Higher pixel density makes aliasing in games a lot less noticeable, and makes the picture look a lot more clean. I think 1440p looks best on a 27" screen. If you're a gamer looking for a 1440p monitor, look no further. Not only does this monitor have incredibly low input lag, but it has excellent color and very fluid motion. You're not going to do better than this. The only con I can think of is that the screen isn't curved, and that's a small sacrifice when everything else about it is perfect. Dell crushed it with this monitor.

BE AWARE BEFORE YOU BUY
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor would be fine if it weren't for the inexcusably TERRIBLE color accuracy. As with TN panels, everything looks washed over and disgusting. You will be disappointed. The other specs don't matter when the display looks that bad.

Amazing
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Got this monitor from Best Buy when they had it on sale for $279, which is insane. There really isn't much for me to say other than the fact that this monitor is absolutely amazing. I have it sitting beside my asus PG279QZ and this dell actually has a better picture and performs much better than my Asus (and the PG279Q is one of the best 1440p monitors out there...if you win the quality control lottery). The semi gloss or half matte coating really makes the picture and colors pop. I can't recommend this monitor enough, honestly. The reviews from Tom's Hardware and Monitornerds are spot on. It's important to note that I have a GTX 1080 ti so I can't take advantage of Freesync but I legit notice zero smearing when playing games. In fact, the S2719DGF feels smoother when playing games than my G-Sync Asus PG279QZ.

Amazing monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I ended up canceling an Acer monitor after this Dell went on sale by $100 ($399 down to $299) and I was anxious I had made a mistake, but I'm very, very pleased I made the swap. This is my first monitor above 60hz. Wow. What a difference. Between this monitor and a computer upgrade with a 2070 Super (up from the 970), I'm blown away by the difference. I mainly play World of Warcraft, and the game overall is just brighter, sharper, smoother than I've ever seen it in the 12+ years I've been playing. I do also play other games like Skyrim, Tropico, Fallout, etc...and everything is super smooth at max settings. One aspect I really like is how STURDY the base is, This was a concern with the Acer I almost bought. One thing I'd say is that I honestly would have been totally fine saving a little bit of money and going with a 24" (which I may do once I decide to replace my secondary monitor). One other thing I'll point out as a con is that it took me quite awhile to get the monitor settings just right. It took me probably 2-3 days of playing around with both the settings of my monitor and in-game setting to get everything looking right. I did probably 2-3 months of research, looking at curved vs flat, hz rate, resolution rate, brand, etc...if you want to stop your own research, feel free to do it now and just buy this one. Feel free to wait for it to go on sale again, though it's worth full retail price ($399) if you don't want to wait. For $299 though this monitor is a steal.

Great Monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picked this Monitor up on sale for $300, Great build quality and great specs and it's 1440p, On sale I picked it up for about the same amount I spent on my non freesync/Gsync 1080p monitor. Nvidia's Gsync works with this monitor as well, although there are some setting you may need to mess with, for one there's a setting for response time, Normal, Fast, or super fast, with super fast enabled along with G sync you get a weird Ghosting like hue in games, It's very noticeable and an eye sore. So I simply changed the Response time setting to Fast and it fixed the issue and I don't really notice a difference in Responsiveness, Which is another point I'd like to make, this monitor is super responsive, My last monitor was also a 1ms response time monitor but it didn't seem as responsive as this monitor, It also pairs very well with a RTX 2070. Smooth as butter.

Fantastic TN panel, surprised at the color acc.
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Dell - S2719DGF 27.0" 2560x1440 144Hz Monitor - Just got this to pair with my VEGA64. So far it's a beautiful panel. I'm generally skeptical of TN panels, I prefer IPS panels, but seeing this in the store at first I thought it was an IPS panel, took a look to find out it was a TN panel, went home and did more research research to discover the color accuracy of it is phenomenal and is probably one of, if not the best TN panels on the market(it fooled me). Comparatively to the ASUS MG279Q the image quality is on par if not slightly better, and above all, there are no limiting factors to the Freesync which was my main concern. Whereas the MG279Q is limited to 90fps on the Freesync unless you tinker around with it, this monitor has no limitation on its Freesync range, and I was simply having no luck getting the Freesync to work properly with the MG279Q. Constant black screens and connection issues. This monitor has been a joy and I'm very happy with it

Price to Performance doesn’t get any better
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I originally purchased theAsus VG248QE. It was the same price however out of the gate the Asus kept having some screen flickering issues, which I later learned was my display port cable failing. However I had already returned the Asus monitor and saw they had this Monitor in stock for the same price and boy did it feel like an upgrade. Like I said my display port cable failed and initially when I set this monitor up I got red lines on the right hand side of the screen, once I plugged in the new cable everything went back to normal. But it felt like an upgrade, the thin bezels, sleek stand, the colors, and overclockable to 155hz. It felt like something modern and simple.Out of the box this monitors colors were way better. They weren’t where I like them, but with some fine tuning after a few hours the monitor looks Amazing. At the price point of 279.99 it beat out everything in its class. My gtx 1070 wont do 144hz at 1440p on modern AAA titles, however on games such as csgo, rocket league, and hero’s of the storm the games will and it feels like butter. I honestly don’t think I could ever go back to a monitor without a high refresh rate. 2 bonuses that this monitor has is hdmi 2.0, as well as usb pass thru. Not many monitors have both especially at this price point l. From the research I did from both Amazon, Newegg, and Micro Center. This monitor takes the cake. I am very happy about my purchase and hopefully if it goes on sale again I’ll get another

Phenomenal Monitor
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I haven't had the issues other have had. However I did find upon hooking this monitor up my display port cable is failing. Any how, out of the box the colors weren't what I wanted but after a little while of adjustments. The colors do pop it has good contrast and is great for all the games that I play. You can definitely tell the difference in how smooth it is. At a sale price of 279.99 it was a deal to good to turn up. An added bonus that this monitor features as well as hdmi 2.0 is the usb 3.0 pass thru. I didnt think I would use it but it is very handy, especially since it comes with the cable to do it.

Ignore the TN haters
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. If I can leave you with one thought it is to ignore what everyone says about TN. This panel has better colors than my Samsung VA panel. As everyone else is saying, this panel is wonderful. When it goes on sale it's a steal.

Satisfied
Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I actually got this monitor because of a reddit post. It's legendary in many ways. The only thing is the viewable field is small. You gotta look directly at it and you can't tilt it down very far. But the blacks are black and the colors are vivid. You can turn up the saturation to unnatural levels and make any game pop. I love it. I'm waiting with dew on my brow for Cyberpunk 2077. The refresh rate is helpful for Blackout. I definitely win more gunfights than with a 78hz monitor. I feel like it could be better but it's more than adequate. The matte finish of the screen is good for handling glare. For the price you'll likely be satisfied. Especially if you haven't had anything better.
