This gaming monitor is great, and I'm very pleased with the quality. The size is perfect, it's sturdy, and the display is bright and vivid, not to mention super-responsive. The Dell S2721DGF has all I need for the kind of simple but qualitiative gaming setup I want. I use my Dell G5 15 laptop for gaming, and all the features of it are great, except for the standard 15.6" display. It holds back its power, and I can totally tell when I connect it to this monitor. It's almost twice the size of typical laptop screens, and I'm able to push out QHD resolution compared to my usual full HD, and as a gamer, it makes a difference. Speaking of what makes a difference, I've never experienced any refresh rate beyond 60Hz. This monitor gets 144Hz, or even 165Hz with a DisplayPort connection, which is what I have. I don't run all games beyond 60Hz, but the ones I do are extremely smooth, especially at 165Hz. I push the refresh to the max so I get the most out of the G-Sync feature as well. It feels so good to experience no screen tearing. It really is a great piece of technology packed into this monitor. Also worthy of note are both the HDR technology and response time. You have a few HDR options, but I usually have it set on Game HDR, as the colors are vibrant but not oversaturated. It really makes everything in screen pop. And the 1ms response time is almost a necessity and any competitive setting. I tested out a few FPS games in my library, and the response time combined with high refresh rates give me the edge I needed. I prefer controllers over a mouse and keyboard, but these features have caused me to reconsider. If you are looking for a solid gaming experience as far as a display but don't need tons of features, definitely consider the Dell S2721DGF. You won't regret your decision if you go with this monitor.

i just purchased this monitor the other day after seeing positive comments for playstation graphics. I wanted to compare graphics and gameplay to my Samsung 4k/60hz TV. With this monitor, Playstation 5 graphics look terrible and it only runs at 1080p/60hz.  It seems like I wasted $400. After additional search online, I found out that this monitor does not even do downscaling like accepting 4k signal and downscaling to 1440p. That is why ps5 graphics look terrible only at 1080p. Don't believe anyone commenting here saying this thing works great for ps5. (I also tried this monitor with  Xbox Series X. What a difference. Graphics looks really sharp and nice. I tried couple warzone games and monitor keeps its refresh rate at 120hz for most of the gameplay.)

I finally feel like I completed my gaming setup with this amazing 27” Dell IPS QHD Gaming monitor!! My previous setup used a 24” HP which had a decent run for me over the last two years and although going from 24 to 27 doesn’t sound like a huge jump it is when you see the performance over the older HP monitor. Let me first say that unboxing this device was great fun because it was simple to unpack everything and start putting together the base and stand. Very easy minimal packaging buyt enough to protect the contents. So getting into the whole purpose of this monitor, gaming! I have an AMD desktop running a Radeon RX 580, not anywhere near a powerhouse but it was affordable at the time and also gave some amazing graphics for my money (upgrade in my future though). On the side I am also using a PS4 Pro. In the past I have used monitors for console systems due to space requirements and resolution, but I started noticing some significant ghosting and blurring as consoles evolved while I was still using mediocre monitors; lesson learned! I’m playing anything from CoD to Fallout to Starcraft to No Mans Sky and the list can go on and on. With a 165Hz refresh rate I can tell the difference from this Dell to my older now retired HP which ran at 120Hz. *It should be noted that the Dell IPS QHD uses HDMI 2.0 so using a HDMI cable will get you the full capability of the 165Hz refresh rate*. I played some heavy No Mans Sky to give this monitor a health test and boy was I amazed! I’m also able to take advantage of Freesync technology through AMD so my experience reflects that – over the last couple days playing NMS I never had any tearing or stuttering which I have seen in the past during some extended playing sessions. Next up I flipped on the PS4 Pro and loaded up Battlefield 5 – I think the gameplay and graphics are more in depth than CoD so I chose BF to give this monitor a test. Needless to say, I was again supremely impressed. Super color depth coupled with the LED edge lighting really give thing a major advantage over the competition. The thin almost seamless bezel along with the solid heavy base and ability rotate vertically are awesome features, not to mention the sweet LED lighting on the rear panel of the monitor, always a nice ambiance but I’ll probably add an LED strip with more color options. I couldn’t be happier with this Dell 27” IPS QHD monitor – highly recommend if you are an avid gamer!
