Hear me out, as I’m sure this monitor would have been good, but only a one year warranty from Dell whereas the G2724D is three years. Yes the G2724D is a gaming monitor at 2K without a hub. But with my Macbook, 2K pixels align better with scaling compared to 4K at 27 inches. I already have a small dongle for the mouse and the G2724 has the Display to Type C cord. I’d rather have bought the G2724D from best buy, but only Dell sells. Adding the BestBuy extended warranty adds $50 to bring warranty to 4 years (comparable to 3 years of G2724D). Avg overall cost $350 compared $180 on sale at Dell, pretty easy decision.

They looked great with the MacBook when set to HDR mode, especially for the price. SDR mode was a little less inspiring. I had to return them solely because they ended up being too big for the space I have for them, but if that changed I would purchase them again.

Motion images are bad

Good Monitor - 4K too small for my eyes

I felt 4k resolution was just too small for me and had a couple of issues using the monitor with Mac Mini. Ultimately returned it to get a lower cost Dell non-4k monitor

In addition to the increased resolution, the monitor can be raised and lowered--a huge benefit--and has USB charging (which I actually don't use, but it's there). And the price is more than reasonable.

I previously had the 1440p version of this monitor(S2722DC) and now I have set up a dual monitor set up. I have to say, I am impressed with this. I love the 4K and the sharpness with Mac OS.

This monitor is future proof due to multiple types of interfaces. 65W charging through USB-C saves a lot of space on the bench.
