Customers are saying
Customers are satisfied with the S3220DGF monitor's screen size, refresh rate, and resolution, frequently praising its suitability for gaming and work. Many appreciate the monitor's quality, HDR capabilities, and FreeSync technology, although some noted the absence of built-in speakers and the monitor's weight as drawbacks. A few users reported issues with dead pixels or ghosting, but these concerns were less prevalent than positive feedback. The curved screen is also a feature that many users enjoyed.

Great value monitor. HDR sucks
||Posted . Owned for 9 months when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor, VA panels gives some pretty decent colors, the huge display is definitely nice for productivity and open-world games, a bit harder for FPS but I have been able to get by. Not much light bleed but still some. Pixel density is.. not great, similar to 1080p on a 24 inch screen. HDR is truly terrible, 400 nits is not enough but its plenty bright for everyday tasks in a pretty bright room. For the $400 I paid for this thing it was definitely a value proposition compared to gaming-focused competitors, asus/msi/acer.

Great monitor for gaming and multitasking
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love this monitor. Thought it would be too big but it sits approx 30" from my face and it just right. Its large enough that I can split windows screen and multitask without squinting. Refresh rate on games is fantastic and color and clarity is great at this price.

Great Monitor, But Look for Rev A04 For G-Sync
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a terrific monitor. I was nervous getting a monitor with a VA panel, but it looks terrific for what it is. Nvidia G-Sync is a bit of a pain to get working, but if you have the latest revision of the monitor and make sure to pair it with a version 1.4 DisplayPort cable you can get it up and running. Gaming and media both look great on this monitor. It also has enough real estate to easily put two documents of websites side by side.

It’s a really good monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I really like the monitor. It’s well made and swivels. Includes DP to DP cable, this is how you’ll enjoy the full 165hz refresh rate. HDMI will get you 144hz. Curved is great. I only wish this monitor supported split source screens. Set up was easy.

Great pc/xbox one x monitor
||Posted . Owned for 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I game mainly on xbox but wanted larger monitor for work flow. Refresh rate is easier on the eyes and 2K resolution is just right for my amd vega 64 card.

Good mid range color monitor
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I didn't think I'd like a curved monitor, but this one has just a slight curve to it. It's a good mid range monitor with usb hub and good color.

Beautiful screen and good value!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. Most 1440p monitors of a comparable speed and size would set you back $750 or more. Nicely fills the gap between high end 24" monitors and very pricey performance ultra-wides. Can get a decent framerate (~60hz) at max resolution even on a dated graphics card (I am running a gtx 760). For me this screen represented a massive upgrade from my old monitor without having to build a new system to get decent performance. The very reasonable price only sweetened the deal!

A Bit Overpriced, But...
||Posted . Owned for less than 1 week when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This monitor occasionally goes on sale for $350 to $400, but not in the last several months. I paid $450 for it, at Best Buy, which is too much. Welcome to the new normal. The build quality and design are very good, and the stand is excellent. Text is good, for a 1440p monitor, but not as sharp as that of a 2160p monitor, but at least you don't have to scale it up. Color and gamma are both off a bit, but this is not primarily meant to be a productivity monitor. However, you can adjust the RGB gain, as per the Tom's Hardware review. Doing so yields quite good results - RGB = 94, 92, 99. You can even tweak the gamma with a free program called QuickGamma, and get it even better. Of course, you could also calibrate it with a colorimeter. This monitor is built using a very good VA panel. As a result, the contrast is excellent - blacks are deep (unlike those on IPS panels), and there is no IPS glow. But, unlike IPS panels, the viewing angles are restricted to the point that you have to be squarely in front of the screen, or the colors shift, and the brightness drops. Unless you frequently have to show others that are standing off to the side what you are working on, this is just not an issue. The panel is curved, just enough that you won't see that color shift or loss of brightness when viewing the edges of the screen when sitting directly in front of the monitor. Nice... And this monitor will get crazy, stupid bright. If you prize your eyesight, turn the brightness down. Your eyes will adjust. The HDR actually works in games that support it, and in properly formatted videos. You'll have to keep HDR off on the Windows desktop, as Windows in not calibrated for HDR. It just gets too bright, without the extra contrast afforded by HDR. Just right click on the desktop, and choose "Display Settings" to turn it on and off as needed. I did get HDR to work in a couple of games. It's rated as HDR400, but actually reaches about 550 nits. The results are downright dazzling. Bright, sunlit scenes actually look like daylight, and the overall contrast is stunning. HDR has to be on in Windows for it to work in most games. I'm running the monitor on an RX 480, and FreeSync Premium Pro works in games as advertised. Using medium to high settings, at 900p or 1080p, I'm seeing frame rates that range from 60 to 140 FPS. Gaming is silky smooth at those frame rates. The buttons along the bottom edge of the monitor, for adjusting the image, get the job done, but aren't as convenient as having a joystick on the back, as some other manufactures use. Except for having to overpay, I'm pleased with this monitor, and I'm a picky customer.

Pure love!
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I got this to replace my 1st Gen 20" flat screen and I'm glad I did. The bad boy hase all the bells and wistles as the big name gamming monitors, 2560 x 1440 Max resolution, 4 millisecond responce time, 2 HDMI inputs, 1 display port, Adjustible screen hight, and a smoking fast 165Hz refresh rate. My pc recognized it in my propertys imedietly and that always makes me happy. No need to spend double for an overpriced name like AlieanWare and Dell has been around for ever so you know they have thier stuff togather.

Great for the price.
||Posted . Owned for 3 weeks when reviewed. This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great monitor. I purchased two of them and I could not be happier. I was going to buy the 4k monitors but when working with excel, SQL and other coding programs, the font would have been way to small for me. I have both monitors (stacked) about 18 inches away on my desk and at 2K, it is perfect. I get enough screen reality and the benefits of 2K defining when I put on movie or show while working. I was surprised with the Dell quality that I may make these monitors solely work and get the 4k monitors from Dell for personal use.
