After reading a TON of reviews on Amazon & Best Buy, & a lot being pretty negative, I was a little skeptical about buying this machine, but I decided to take the risk since it was in my price range & had the exact “bells & whistles” (AKA: makes espresso & steams/froths milk) that I needed. I kept the box just in case I started noticing the horror stories people seemed to be experiencing early on.
As a complete beginner with brewing espresso, it took me about 3 brewed cups to get the hang of it & the rest is history! I’ve brewed 2-3 double shots a day since I bought it & have no plans to return or stop at this point. My husband & I now enjoy all the espresso drinks we used to pay $4-6 for at home, which makes me (& my wallet) very happy! Even better, my hubby said, & I quote, “Starbucks doesn’t have anything on this Americano”. I’ll take it!
Reviews that I read commented that it has a leaking problem, which I haven’t truly experienced. On that note, I HAVE noticed that when you warm up the steamer setting & begin to use it, if there is any water sitting in the porta-filter chamber, it does drip a bit. I just leave my brewed espresso glass under the porta-filter until I’m done steaming & voila! No spills to clean up.
Cleaning/KEEPING the machine clean is a breeze, too. Just wipe it down every couple of brews & you’re golden. After using the steamer, wipe it off, turn the knob to “Off”, then CAREFULLY wrap a damp towel around it, turn the steamer on for a few seconds, then wipe away the extra gunk that comes out, just like you’ve seen your barista do at your favorite coffee shop. Done.
TLDR: I highly recommend this machine. Buy it. :)

I almost bought a machine that froths the milk automatically but I didn’t like the way it looked. I chose this because it has a sleek design.
I really love making espresso every morning. This machine even came with recipes for different beverages. It was pretty easy to figure out with the directions but I also watched youtube videos.
It’s easy to take apart and hand wash. I bought a stainless steal pitcher to froth the milk.

I purchased this for my daughter’s birthday. She absolutely loves it and enjoys making her own lattes and other creations from her home, instead of purchasing while she is out.

The raving reviews were right! Takes some time to make every morning but worth the energy boost. Just keep in mind there’s a break in period. You will be arm wrestling when it comes to twisting the pour spout. But after a few uses it will become much easier.

Obsessed!! We love it!! If you’re on the fence get off of it and buy it. I love that the bottom tray is removable for bigger cups too! Easy to clean and flush through too.

Found that the temp of water only reaches 170 degrees which is considerably lower that 180-200 that is recommended by all reviewers for making espesso. Given this, one cannot grind the coffee fine enough. The pump and/or cooler water will not let espresso pour out in a steady stream or not at all. It will only work with a less fine ground or a tamp so light it creates a weak, less flavorful taste. Called a Delonghi rep and we Face timed me trying various grinds and tamp pressures. The Rep watched as the machine operated poorly. She also noted that the top temperature of only 170 degrees was inherent to this cheaper model and that, as well as a less powerful pump, could be contributing to it's failure. Do not buy this machine unless you do not mind a weaker less rich and robust espresso.

I love my Cafe Latte's every morning. I've been wanting one of these machines for a long time. After looking around online for a while, and going to Best Buy I felt this was the best for my money in the stainless steel. There was only a few that were offered. I just wish there was a grinder in it and it would do everything in the touch of one button to make it easier. As well as getting rid of all the plastic inside the machine. (Like most if not all machines). Other than that it's great! I wonder if you have replacement parts that can be gotten for the inside of the espresso and froth tubing for those areas. I'm not sure about that.
