It has a leaking problem though if you leave it with water still in the tank, so I have to pour out any leftover water when I'm done using it to avoid that problem. Other than that it's been great and saves me money from going to Starbucks!

Also the water started leaking out of the bottom after only a few days so I took it back and bought this one, couldn’t be happier.

The taste was okay. It came with different sizes for espresso. Cons: very messy. At times it was watery. You have to manually stop from pouring the espresso. The added heat frother was poorly placed and caused burns if not careful. It also positioned inffectively. It went back to the store. Cons:

I used to have ECP3420, it breaks down every couple of months. Thankfully, I bought the protection plan multiple times because I know it breaks down. The ECP3420 is no longer being manufactured and there's only open box at best buy, and this is I guess the new version and more expensive by $80, so I thought I'd give it a try, maybe it won't break down as often. On the first day, the espresso comes out drop by drop slowly and it tasted horrible although it's high quality coffee from Italy. The milk frother has a cappuccino option or just hot milk option...I can't tell a difference. They're both horrible and it spits out A LOT of water at first. Will return today because this is a big scam. They changed the outside color of the machine and the model number, but they're both horrible.

Eventually I will move up to nonpressurized portafilter to get a little more about of it but I'm in no rush. I make cappuccino,s and anytime you dilute.. you lose a lot of the base flavor. When I do my part the steam arm is great. I get thick milk with great consistency.

She enjoys the process of making the coffee so she doesn't mind grinding her beans each morning. She says she finds the tamping "soothing". The coffee maker works great and makes delicious espresso as well as coffee. Totally worth the price!
