Great coffee for limited useful life

I like what the machine can do when it’s new, however after a time (this one about 9 months) it will lose pressure by way of a leak above where the basket attaches. Three machines, same problem. The first two I had longer than a year so I wasn’t able to get any help from D Longhi, hopefully this one they will work with me on. After I contacted them on the first model that failed, I learned that this unit is a throwaway…meaning they don’t repair or sell hard parts for it. I did take that one apart once I learned that where I discovered it was simply an o-ring that had failed. No doubt that is my problem this time also. If you want a machine that will provide good espresso for a limited amount of time, this may be your unit.

It takes too much time to clean and maintain and even when you do it still smells bad with rancid coffee. It’s a great machine to use if you’re wanting a cheap espresso machine though!
