The espresso that this machine makes is amazing. I used to frequently go to coffee shops, but with the quality of the espresso with this machine, i no longer have to. I'm going to purchase one of these for my daughter as well.Its so much nicer to be able to stay home and enjoy the flavor in the comfort of your own home. This product has been put at my disposal for no compensation and in order to share my honest and unbiased opinion. Once i have completed mt testing it will be returned to the manufaturer.

I love this espresso maker. It is very simple to use. The milk frother works really well and is super easy to clean. I like that you can remove the tray on the bottom for easy cleaning. The tray removal is also great for larger cups. It took me a few tries to learn how much to pack the espresso down, but it was great regardless.

I choose this over the nespresso because you have the flexibility of using your choice of grind, and you can also use certain pods. So far I am happy with this little introductory espresso maker. espresso. You can't beat the price for what you are getting. Milk frother is great to have as well. It been a fulfilling purchase and we use it almost every morning. No regrets.

I am not much of a latte person so this machine was used for cappuccinos. The machine itself seems well designed and made. The features are nice and it was easy to use overall. I was excited to puchase this machine. The size is perfect and it makes both espresso and coffee which is great for me. But after only two weeks it leaks terribly and only makes 1/4 cup of espresso. I’m pretty sure I received a refurbished machine. The box it came in looked like it was shipped and returned as an original label had been haphazardly removed. Overall, very disappointed and will be returning this today!

I couldn't even work this machine. It is not easy as it seems. I tried to let hubby help me with it, and he didn't get so we put it back in the box. I wish it were easy to work with this machine; it was too difficult. I was looking forward to making espressos, I rather just use a coffee machine at least it is easy to use.

I received this machine as a Christmas gift. I previously owned a lower model of this machine and loved it, so I was excited for the upgrade. It brewed GREAT espresso about 3 times, before beginning to leak ALL over (from every crack in the machine). Now, on my 5th time ever using it, it wouldn't brew espresso at all, and the entire machine got burning hot and water POURED out of the whole machine. I'm super frustrated, since it was a gift so I don't have the receipt, and no longer have the box to return it. I'm sorry that my family member wasted their money on this defective machine :( I loved it for about a day!

After Reading Reviews On This Machine, I Decided To Purchase One. I Fell In Love With It Ever Since. This Machine Produces A Great Quality Cup Of Espresso. It's Like Having A Barista In Your Own Home! I Love It!

The espresso machine worked well and produced a decent enough shot. The issue is that theres a leak in my machine where simply seating the water reservoir causes water to continually leak into the drip tray. The entire reservoir will leak and spill out underneath the machine. I have contacted delonghi customer service. They told me they could not help me at the time and would have someone call me back to help with my issue which has not happened. Its unfortunate because I think this could be a decent budget machine, but poor build quality/quality control and terrible customer service make this impossible to reccomend.

well, let me give you my review I have a dual expresso/coffee machine. This machine the best way to express is HORRIBLE!! I have had to return it 3 maybe 4 times because it does not last the first one broke before the year warranty got a replacement it broke actually received another one as a gift it broke I returned it broke again the one they sent me lasted 2 weeks or so so they sent me another and then this machine lasted around 5 months thoughtI was gonna make it but on Christmas day De'longhi strikes again it broke warmer does not stay hot. and this last time they said there would be no warranty on this item. Thank God I kept my Ninja pot because it works great. We don't overuse it I have checked my power outlet. I am at a loss for words. for what this cost they should be ashamed of the product.

This machine was a good method to add a shot or two to my regular cup of morning Joe. The semi-automatic method was just too time consuming for my morning routine so I upgraded to a DeLonghi Dinamica bean to cup machine. This machine had a few undesirable drawbacks for me. The portafilter wouldn’t hold more than 10 grams making it a weak shot. It measured 52mm and not the larger 58mm. The portafilter would get stuck in the machine and it would fall into the trash can when knocking out the puck. It also drips a lot after brewing. And I mean A LOT. Gotta have towels or another cup because it cannot be ignored. But as in life, we get what we pay for. $170 provided access to more caffeine with some frustrations while the $1000 upgrade had left me completely satisfied. Cheers!

The part where the water comes through into the espresso cup started leaking at about the 14 month mark. I tried cleaning it up myself then took it to a local repair shop to get it assessed, and they told me it would be cheaper to buy a new machine. Delonghi was very unhelpful and wouldn't replace it or repair it even though it was a manufacturing defect. 100% will not buy delonghi again

BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I do not write reviews EVER....but this thing is CRAP!!!!!!!!! I hate it and I have hated it ever since I bought it. It doesn't get hot enough to make a decent coffee, the cup where you put the coffee gets stuck in the machine so you have to pry it out which takes an act of God, or it pops out at you and hot coffee shoots out and burns your skin and stains your clothes. Just ruined my new shoes and have a blister on my arm. DO NOT BUY THIS PIECE OF CRAP!!!!!! It looks fancy for the money but it is a pretty piece of junk. RUN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I'm a happy person and tried to give this thing a chance because I figured it was user error....but no...its crap.

What it lacks in fancy features makes up for in its simplicity. Makes good espresso and cappuccinos.

I bought this machine even after reading the reviews. Being a former barista I know something about operating an espresso machine. I thought some of the reviews were just being critical, but many of them were very accurate. I made sure to follow all of the directions from the time I took the machine out of the box. The espresso quality is only average. It's not hot enough. Steaming milk takes a long time, but making froth is easy. After several days of trying to make decent espresso, coffee and steamed milk and only getting mediocre results, I boxed it up and took it back. If you don't mind putting the espresso, the coffee and even the steamed milk in the microwave just to get it hot enough to drink then by all means buy the machine. Don't waste your money. If you have the money, upwards of $800.00 to $1200.00, get an automatic machine that will make good quality espresso consistently.

It takes time to strain the coffee, the pressure does not come out

I got this as a gift for my team at work. They really like it a lot and we have it in the break room and even have had time with the team making each ither espressos. I like the features for either single or double shot qith the frother.

I read the description and it was everything I was looking for plus it looked beautiful. I ordered it online and when I got it, i plugged it in and turned it on to heat up the water. First, the green light to indicate the water was heated was flicking on and off and clearly was malfunctioning. Second, fter 10 minutes, the water was still ice cold but the front end of the machine was hot and the water container was pressed down as it should. Third, even if the water was hot, it wasn't coming out like it should. I did everything correctly and troubleshooted but it was that the machine would not work and I was very disappointed. I returned it in store because I just wanted to be done with it and bought a Gaggia off amazon.

I have this Espresso maker for about 5 months and so far so good. I like this machine, however I would recommend the Delonghi EC155 which is $50 cheaper and is very similar to this one. Save the extra bucks!!
