A couple months back it broke and we decided to get the new model .. so far we are loving it . Like the new buttons with pictures to choose coffee types . Buy this coffee maker

Owned for 2 weeks when reviewed.This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I have owned 4 coffee machines- 1 automatic lasted years, a new De Longhi Barrista Specilista Evo Barrista which is pretty great - manual, simple, a quirk or two but 4stars. This specific DeLonghi is a terrible pain in the neck until you master the sequence. It’s very noisy. Highly sensitive the machine is activated by a simple motion nearby. I wish the oeration was as intuitive as sctivating the switches. According to DeLonghi Customer Service - ease of operation depends on “the quality of the beans you have.’ This claim is false. I have used the same brand (not oily) beans for many years is all machines. It is this machine. The large H2O tank is a great feature. In time I will get use to this machine. In my experience DeLonghi makes great machines - i have no idea how this one came from the same company. Save your money and opt for a Phillips Saeco Xselsyus (sp), very expensive, but once you set it up it will last at least a decade. Its not sensitive, tempermental or cares what kind of bean you have. It’s beautiful, makes everything and is a joy to maintain. I like Best Buys Service, no complaints there!

Waste money and time

I have tried all settings and suggestions and nothing is helping. Also, took a lot of manipulating settings to get the espresso to brew correctly. Used same machine and same beans as friend and mine is not performing the same at all.
