I am a professional board certified barista/ coffee master and this product failed to meet my expectations it is starting to sound like it is not working and does not have the 15 bar pressure it claims to pull good espresso shots most shots are weak. But it’s ok for beginners but not for professionals. I do not use this machine for work it is strictly personal use

A lightweight (literally) that makes espressos that are too small and—for reasons I couldn't figure out—don't taste good. It's so light that you have to get a headlock on it to crank the portafilter into position for making espressos and out of it when you're done. I returned it to Best Buy and got a more substantial machine.

I've used a Krups steam espresso machine for the past 12 years and have loved it. When I decided to get a new one I read up on all the options and decided to go with a pump machine instead. DeLonghi is a common brand so I bought it. Disappointing. It doesn't hold a lot of espresso so in my opinion it makes a very weak shot. I end up having to refill and make several batches to get the strength I want. If I tamp the grounds too tight the water has a hard time getting through and it takes forever.

This is extremely loud. The vibration is so much my cup would have fallen off the tray. If you buy this and keep it, you need a cup for your espresso to brew into. Personally i would recommend to stay away.

I was looking forward to making my family espresso on Xmas morning but could not. I am returning and never used because the filter handle would not swivel into the forward facing position without a lot of effort and would not turn at all with the filter in it (see photo). As others have said the vibration during brewing moves the glasses but I'm not sure if this actually affects catching the espresso. This purchase is making me second guess purchasing the DeLonghi brand for my replacement purchase. I know it's inexpensive compared to other machines but I should not have to force the handle into the right position. I'd rather not have an espresso maker if this is what I have to settle for.

I am one of those people who could not stand the taste of coffee until last year when I tried an espresso. We bought this appliance as a test to see if I would like it so I could have a personal espresso machine. The salesman warned us that this is returned very frequently but that new coffee drinkers tended to like it. Unfortunately, it brewed a weaker coffee than my mom's "normal" Mr. Coffee $15 machine which is why I returned it. It may work for some of you, but I need a really strong cup of coffee and even though I am new it was simply too weak for me.

Directions say device needs to pre-heat 30 minutes to make espresso, which is crazy to start with. But, even waiting coffee is cold and never gets to a decent pressure level. If I had kept box it would have been returned.

The filter holder is very flimsy plastic and doesn't fit tight so the coffee spills over the edges and makes a mess. I don'r have a problem with the frother, it does a great job of producing frothed milk.

Cost $79 on sale. Makes espresso, but not a very good job. I put in the suggested amount of grounds, used the built on tamp, but the grounds still ended up in the cup and/or stuck to the bottom of where the water comes out. Messy clean up. Varied the amount of grounds and it worked better, but still stuck to the bottom of where the water comes out. The frother was the worse problem. The stem is too short to be submersed in the milk unless the cup is almost full of milk. Then it overflows the cup. I returned it and bought something else.
